  1. Thank u so much Greybeard. This was exactly the information I needed. Luckily I shot in uncompressed so Firestore and the A command was able to bring full colour so i saved that as a TIFF. Haven't been sucessful yet with the Styles in Cap One but this is a great start. At least I now know using a BnW image in the viewfinder - to work on contrast rather than colour, works. So thank u again. This issue really blew my mind and I wasn't sure there was a genuine fix so it goes to show u need to ask. Great stuff Greybeard.
  2. Hi folks. I shot a sequence yesterday using a Fuji film Acros R sim on my XT4 while having a RAF/RAW shot at the same time. Fast Raw Viewer (RV 2.0.7) sees the images as BnW in thumbnail preview yet double clicking shows it as full colour. When I open the pic in Capture One 22 I'm only getting the BnW. Same issue when I view in PIE - Picture Information Extractor - thumbnail in BnW yet double click and we are now in colour, but never in Cap.One or Firestone Image Viewer. Im completely confused - any ideas? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
  3. Hi folks I'm trying to be a genius and setup the Q menu and MY / Photo and Video sections. Along the way I now can't change the shutter or aperture settings with the dials. It's got me stumped hence why I'm here. I've got the 18-55 XF zoom on the camera. Can someone tell me how to get these settings back pls. Happy New Year all!
  4. Calvin - I definitely like your idea. As proof the concept works , years gone by Kodak used to sell wratten filters - a gelatine substance one could cut to size and place behind the exit lens element and in front of the gate on 16 and 35mm cine camera's. I often used ND filters that way. It would be great if they were still around cos I would use them. The idea of no image degradation due to ND glass in front of the lens has got to be a good thing. Re your approach, I'm not sure the optical quality of your sun glasses cut out is up to the demands of out sensors and lenses - unless you know it is. BTW, nicely cut out sunnies😎
  5. Hi The "4 x 5.65 filters" are grad filters right?...and have always been expensive. Promist Blacks. I had them in the early nineties or 35mm TVC's. With filters in post now, it is possible you don't need them right now. Experiment with post filters first perhaps. Using a matt box with 2 or three filters will cover all yr lenses provided you take into account wide angle lenses. A rig is a good idea - look around for yr options - there are heaps of options out there.. There are options that might have more to hang gear off - including audio...read around friend. Think broad before u buy.
  6. Lens correction profile issues. Camera body Fuji X-T4 Lenses are AF Nikkor ED 180mm f2.8 D and the DX AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm f3.5-5.6. I'm trying out these two favourite Nikkor lenses on my Fiji X-T4 using a K&F Concept Nik (G) to FX adaptor. This is the manual adaptor - no electronic contact with the Fuji body hence no EXIF date is read by the Fuji camera body. Big bummer! I need this valuable information in my camera for the corrections to take place in Capture One or Photoshop. I can see colour fringing on the 180 and it ain't pretty. Is there some way you know of to have my EXIF data transferred into an editing program from these lenses? If it just does not work, I had better sell the adaptor as I feel lens connections are a real necessity in post. And on that subject, got any recommendations for a good Nikkor to FX electronic adaptor to buy. Thx for now.
