I keep one or two bags.  Yes, it could be somewhat cumbersome depending on the size of bag.  For example the largest of the ziplock holds my D800e, with the Powergrip, and my 50mm lens and barely zips up.  But it does.  The smaller sandwich size holds my Fuji lenses -- no problems..  I only use the ziplocks when I know I'll be entering and exiting hot/humid to cold and vice-versa.  I am not patient enough to do this all the time.   I am also not afraid to swap lenses in ANY weather short of a monsoon, or a raging sandstorm.  I've changed lenses pretty much everywhere and other than some dirt or dust on a sensor here and there it has not been much of an issue including dropping my D700 and 24-70 on a sandy beach in Puerto Rico while shooting a wedding there.  This coming from the guy that dropped a Minolta SR-T101 in a shallow lake while photographing beavers in Alaska.  Lens was destroyed but the camera: I pre-heated my oven to 200-250 degrees and placed the camera in for 20-30 seconds then out for a few minutes  Did this for a while and the camera still worked when I sold it to my sister in 2004. Albeit dirty viewfinder and all.

Think tank dSLR battery holders.  Mine holds four batteries.  charged units go contacts face down.  used units contacts face up for easy identification when out in the field.

Simple solution which I use ALL THE TIME:  I keep large Zip-lock bags on every trip i make.  When I'm going in to a cool car, or room, or exiting an A/C'd car or hotel room, I place the camera and lens(es) in zip lock bags.  Presto:  zero condensation/fogging

I've used the non-WR lenses in freezing rain, snow, and literally had them covered in wet sand and salt water  (from my wet and sandy hands) and to this day, no problems.

Maybe many of you guys are new to photography, but back in the day, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I used Minolta cameras and glass and shot, a lot, in Alaska (where I lived)  I never, ever had a lens or body damaged by snow, ice, sleet, fog, or cold.  Ever.  As a matter of fact, less than a year ago I sold all my Minolta glass on fleabay and it was still all perfect and I'm not a person to baby equipment.  To me, they are just tools, like a car mechanic uses his/her wrenches.  Nothing else.

Affinity may work for you.  IT's like 30.00 US.  They have a free trial.  Give it a shot.  Though this program is not a photo storage app, but more photo adjustment.

May I suggest you continue using "photos" on your new Mac, and then an app like Affinity to do some of the heavier lifting you may need to do down the road?

I think people have a right to complain, although I think looking for a constructive solution is more useful.  I don't think that complaining then gives one the right to insult others who are posting in the same thread, intending to share a different experience or other suggestion.  serhatalkan, you are not behaving well in either this thread or the battery one, you are just sort of thrashing around with anger.  Is there some type of positive outcome are you looking for? Complaining about one's right to complain seems pretty silly.

Unfortunately I learned my lesson the hard way when I pre-ordered the Nikon D800 back in 2012.  What a freakin' mess that was.  Now, my D800e is freakin' awesome. Anyway, I will not pre-order.  As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to kick back and wait until next spring or summer before I pull the trigger.  Why?  Because the reviewers online have their "rose-colored glasses" on and/or are using not only pre-production models, but are provided by Fuji.  What's the old saying:  Don't bite the hand that feeds you?  Or how about don't let the fox guard the hen house?

In addition I have not seen a SINGLE review(er) yet discuss the image quality!!!  Have you?  No.  They are under orders not to until the camera is released.  Why would you or anyone order a new camera, basically sight unseen, which is basically unproven?

Like I said, I won't make that mistake again.  I'll wait until all the pioneers take all the arrows, then I'll just come along and get the best of the best.  I'm in no hurry.  If I want added resolution from my X-T1 all I have to do is take a two/three shot vertical pano and wind up with MORE resolution than the 24MP cranks out anyway.  But I digress.  Yes, I will probably be buying one, but not until all the kinks (if any) are worked out, and not until the price drops a bit.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it

Wow.  This thread escalated quickly to this type of commentary.  No one is saying you don't have a right to complain.  Please, step away from the ledge.  It's only a camera.

Great shots, Jorge. The Dry tortuga looks fantastic. However I still find the bokeh of the 16mm a bit to busy. Besides that, the 16mm sure is a nice lens, which I have already owned. Found it to big. That's why I'm looking into the 14mm which is often very cheap used where I live. Like half price from new in mint condition. And I don't need its pseudo macro capabilities :-)

I just came home from vactioning in Skopelos, Greece where I used the 18mm end of the XF 18-55 f2.8-4 a lot and often found I needed it to be a little wider, so maybe the 14mm is to wide and the 16mm just perfect. Perhaps if Fujifilm made a smaller 16mm f2 I would be happy. Can't decide :-(

Is the 16mm better for peoples shots than the 14mm, given a lot of you say that people look funny if to close to the edge of the frame on the 14mm? Does the 16mm "distort" the same way?

I own the Zeiss 12/2.8 AND the Amazing Fuji 16 1.4.  I will say the Fuji 161.4 is freakin'tastic lens!!!  What I love most, besides the sharpness and clarity of it --- even wide open --- is that it can double down as a makeshift Macro lens with it's extreme close-focus capabilities.  How close you ask?  I have to remove the lens hood close...  That's close.

I don't find it to be difficult to use at all, but again I don't force the scene to fit into the lens.  It has to be something that comes naturally I think.  Those are my two cents.

Here is a link to FIVE images that I've used the 16mm F1.4 to make.  I apologize I've yet to figure out how to post them on here.  The two tropical ones are stock images (click on them in Flickr to enlarge) , the other three are of my new grandchild.  Let  us know if this helps make up your mind...

That's all fine and dandy, but at what point is enough just plain enough? If you need ultimate sharpness, you should be shooting strobe/flash anyway and those could make any lens/camera combination look good.

300% crop from a generic headshot, classic chrome, no added sharpening. X-T1, 56 1.2 APD. No processing, which I would normally do, just the RAW loaded into lightroom and resized for web at 1500px long edge.

Is being able to count individual nose hairs and pores not enough resolution? I agree, we are spoilt as photographers. Never forget that.

Hello! My opinions: -The question is "What differences can you see?" 99% of photographers won't see any difference in term of sharpness between APS-c and FF.
-Theorical differences are well known: a/ dof b/ low light situation. That's all.
-lens,PP and uses are as important as the camera itself.
-Don't worry about sharpness. Don't waste your time reading charts, graphics and so on. Learn how to shoot a great photo.
-99% photographies on the web are post-processed.
-Choosing a brand isn't a simple question of sharpness: menus (as you say),sustainability, roadmap, warranty, community, personal feeling...

I too can purchase one or more of them, and I'm not looking for "value".  A camera is not an investment.  It is a tool.  period.  A tool that I depreciate.  In the end, it is a paperweight worth zero on my balance sheet at the end of it's life.

If I had to choose, again, between my Nikon and the Fuji system knowing what I know now there would be ZERO decision; I would be in ALL FUJI.  I came from the D3, D300, D700 and D800 world with Nikon lenses.  They were fantastic (except for the D800) and the lenses were amazing but they cumbersome and not very discreet.

Value:  What is it worth "to me" is what you need to ask yourself.  Are you an amateur weekend shooter, a  semi-pro making some extra dollars or pounds on the side, or a FT Pro?  Your decision.  I use my Fuji's for all my work.  I have ONE Nikon D800E with a 50mm lens left laying around just for sh*ts and giggles because of the amazing flash system and my remote pocket wizards - other than that the rest is all gone.  The D800, all the other bodies and lenses...

My two cents:  K.I.S.S.  Keep It Simple Silly.  Why go through the freakin' hassle of adapters, adopting, blah blah blah.  Why? just so you can say you did it?  So you can say you can?  Screw that. Give me auto focus, 1.4 aperture anyway.   Dude, you will NOT be able to tell the difference between this Voightblowhard lens, and the Fuji 23 1.4 in a PRINT at ANY SIZE, anyway of the week and I don't care what anyone says here.  Stop trying to impress others.  Period.

X-T2 for me, BUT NOT FOR A WHILE!  Yes, I can pre-order but I think I'll wait.  All the reviews seem very positive and the reviewers are wearing their rose colored glasses.  I think I'll wait until the actual production models hit the market and the real life reviews start to pour onto the web.  Not that anything is wrong with the mass of reviews out there now, just that I have a small problem with folks who get their equipment FROM the company they are reviewing.  So, as I've said for a long, long time I learned my lesson by being an early adopter of the Nikon D800 and I'll never do that again.  The actual delivery of the X-T2 starts in September(?) so I think I can wait until next spring... Hopefully by then all the bugs (if any, as I'm not saying there are any) will have been worked out, the furor will have died down a bit, and maybe, juuuust maybe, prices will have either come down, or their may be some incentives to purchase the X-T2.  If no incentives or price breaks I'll probably buy one anyway, but let's see what the pioneers think of it first.
    I'm very curious...

Mine was a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 v1. Owned it for a dozen years, used it a dozen times. So heavy it was silly as a carry-in-your-bag-lens. Not unlike Nero above, I traded mine for an XP2.

I LOVE my 55-200.  Even though it does not come out to play very often, I do take it with me.  Know it is there is good enough.  This lens, at least my copy is tack sharp across the focal range, and at each aperture.  I have no complaints.  I hate the "are you happy to see  me" extension at long end but that's a price to be paid.  It's lightweight compared to it's big brother the 50-140 2.8 which, after unloading myself of my Nikon gear which included the Nikon 70-200 F2.8, I do not ever want to carry around again.  So, there are a few drawbacks, but the 55-200 is a magnificent lens and one I will not give up.

Thanks but I'll stick with LR.  As some of you who've read my posts I shoot travel and landscape.  I find that Lightroom, 99% of the time, does me good!  Honest. I use Pete Bridgewoods sharpening methodology which you'll find on his blog - and which I started using I guess two years ago when it first appeared and I couldn't be happier.  As a matter of fact, it's a preset upon my importing into LR.

I also have Silkypix, and Iridient Developer and these two also work wonders.  They are both amazing, but they do take me out of LR even though they are setup to "right click, edit in"
I've tried C1 and find it too confusing and I don't have the time to learn another piece of software.  I've also tried Affinity back when it was free and it was ok but I really didn't put it through it's paces as I should have.

I will say, that even though I'm a LR believer, if Adobe EVER switches to a total subscription based version I'm out.  I'll find something else such as photo mechanic, and ON1 Raw or something.  But I will never, ever, ever pay Adobe a monthly fee as I, quite frankly, despise that company.  Right now, using LR is to MY benefit; so I'll just keep tooling along.

    Hope that helps.
