  1. Will the just announced Fujifilm Capture1 Express be available for free to owners of all existing Models? Or only newly purchased cameras? Downloaded it but on install it appears to be a trial version.
  2. Black frames sounds like the camera was accidentally on - say in your camera bag, for example. I have had that happen with x100f & xpro2 and each time was due to the way I placed it in the camera bag with the strap around the lens. Bulb issue - are you using a cable release to open and close the shutter? Would be helpful to describe more detail of how the camera is set up , tripod, cable, etc.
  3. Peter, note that in the manual, Fuji recommends charging batteries a day or two before use, as the batteries can lose some power if stored for a while. I’ve found the Fuji branded batteries do indeed drain slowly, more so than the 3rd party Wasabi Brand batteries. At about $16-20.00 for two batteries, you could replace all your batteries every year if you are a heavy use PJ for a little over $100.00, as long as you are comfortable using 3rd party batteries. Also there is a system for using an external large power pack that is available on Amazon. The kind of power packs sold to charge phones etc. It’s something that’s been used by DSLR users for years too. It’s a Relay Camera Coupler CRW126 for Fujifilm and a Case Relay Camera Power System both available on Amazon. All you need then is the power pack.
  4. Check out the Tenba DNA line of bags. I have the DNA 13 which will work well. For a smaller bag for the camera and an IPad mini, the DNA 8 is great too.
  5. Just got an X-100F and find it a bit frustrating due to lack of thumb grip and the location of the Q button, which is exactly where my thumb goes when I grab the camera. I decided to try to find a solution other than the Thumb Grip from Lensmate and found a very cheap solution that works quite well for me. I added a 13mm (1/2") Self Adhesive Vinyl Bumper commonly used on the back of picture frames. Placed it to the left of the Q button and now have a place to grip that is not in the way of any controls and gives me a place to hold the camera securely. It's a clear round bumper - see photo attached.
  6. By this point in time, I personally trust Fuji when it comes to making lenses. Reviews are great, but usage is the best way to see if a lens meets your needs. I have no doubt this will be a great lens. Fuji has been making lenses for a very, very long time. Mine is due in next week and I look forward to adding it to my kit. I've found the other two F2 WR lenes to be quite nice and a part of my daily carry. If I can afford it, I hope to also add the 90 and an 18 to fill out the full F2 lin (although it's probably a bit of overkill).
  7. My X-Pro2 has signs of wear on the exposed edges and I am quite careful. I think it has to do with Fuji emmulating Leica Black paint M's. As you probably know, they "brass" as they wear from use. Fuji even had a simulated worn X-Pro on display at one time, if I recall correctly. Personally, I would prefer if they anondized the finished to make it less prone to paint wear. That said, I plan to keep my X-Pro2 for a very long time. For me, the XP2 addressed the issues with earlier generations - 24MP sensor, much faster AF and the X Pro processor. I've just applied a lot of gaffers tape to protect the edges. After a few years, perhaps I'll remove it and let the wear and tear patina take hold.
  8. You're welcome! Should have a revised version of the L-plate in a few weeks and I'll report back.
  9. UPDATE: I have received info from the seller that Fittest is making changes to the bracket to correct issues with the fit. I'll keep the forum updated.

  15. The Fittest L Bracket with grip for the X-Pro2 does NOT work in RRS BH-55 bullhead with lever clamp. The bottom plate grooves are too thin and the Camera will slide right out of the locking clamp. Also the Grip does not fit properly to the X-Pro2 body. They need to modify the design: The grip needs to be redesigned or just removed. The Bottom plate arca swiss groove need to be thicker - like the short side bracket - which DOES work in the lever clamp. For the time being I would strongly recommend - DO NOT BUY if you use a lever clamp on a RRS bullhead. Note the short bracket also BLOCKs the PC port - they need to modify that bracket too if you want access to the port. Regards, Mark
  16. My apologies for not responding sooner. Thanks for all the comments. I ended up returning the cards and using Lexar UHS-1 cards with no further issues. I see that Fuji lists the Toshiba brand cards for the high sped cards - which are a bit too pricey for my needs.
  17. Tried my first UHS-II card, the Lexar 32gb 1000x card and experienced random write errors while using the card. I have the latest firmware 4.1(tried it first on 4.0), tried 2 cards both experienced errors. I was shooting landscapes, S mode and CH mode, with the same issues, using RAW+JPEG . Never any issues with other UHS-I cards. Also just tested new Lexar UHS-1 633x (U3) with no issue, no errors so it's not the brand. Any new of Fuji addressing this issue (I know they used Toshiba in tests, but most users will use SanDisk or Lexar cards. Any comments.? Mark
