Another fan of Peak Design here.

I'm afraid my XT-2 looks a little strange with three dongles hanging from it, but truth is the Peak Design just works.  Two dongles hanging from the top for when I am carrying a heavy lens like my 100-400 and then one more hanging from the bottom of the Vertical grip for when I just want to handhold.  The straps just attach and unattach so easily it makes shooting so much easier.

Lumens got a reaction from jlmphotos in Why no 80mm macro
I must admit I have not really sweat much about the 80 mm because the Fuji Extension Tubes do work so well with the 18-55 and 55-200.  I also own the 60 mm and 16 mm and both of those do an outstanding job as well.

So when it comes to the 80 mm, while I am VERY interested, if the specs or pricing don't cut it, I will pass.  I am doing quite well with what I have, but I am also interested in something only if it extends my current abilities and at the right price.  I believe the 80 mm will do that but only time will tell.

I ordered the first day of the release and received my XT-2 from the first shipments.  So far I love it and have had NO issues.

However I do understand neither the XT-2 nor X-Pro2 play well with third party flash systems.  The Firmware upgrade did correct some of that, but If I understand what I've been reading likely not all of it.  I don't use flash often and when I do I have a Fuji flash so have not experienced any of these issues.

The other complaint I've heard is locking up.  From what I read this has mostly to do when using the Vertical Grip (Could be wrong here).  I have the vertical grip and have not had any issues with it at all.  I locked up once but that was from turning the camera off and back on too quickly.  I thought I was done shooting then saw something to capture at the same moment I shut the camera off.  This was really not a problem and easily fixed.

As for jumping to the XT-2, I also used the XT-1 for quite a while and still love it.  It is now my backup.  To me the advantage of the XT-2 is the Auto-focus.  If you shoot action then I would say the XT-2 is worth every penny, but if you don't shoot action, BIF etc. then not so much. The XT-1 is a great camera and does everything else extremely well with great Image Quality.  For me the main advantage of the XT-2 is capturing action with the advanced auto-focus - with the 100-400 it makes a great combination for wildlife.  Also I should mention the 4K video as an advantage as well, but I could care less about video so for me its the auto-focus.

A lot of moans here quoting bugs in the X-T2, what bugs are you talking about? Are you talking bugs or some feature that you don't like

I really enjoy my X-T2, and would say although it ain't perfect, name a camera that is!

When the XT-2 came out I wasn't impressed with the idea of a joy stick. I figured I'd never use it.  Now I find I am using it more and more.  It has more functions then just moving the focus point.  I keep finding new uses all the time.

My 100-400 is quite sharp and does very well for me.  So I can only figure a bad copy or user error.  User error includes a myriad of possibilities so an image with exposure details might say a lot.

I had a chance to take the X-T2 with the 100-400mm out for a spin at Airshow London (the one in Canada).

Tell me about it!  I just picked up the last lens I felt I really wanted, but now.......   That predicted 80 mm Macro that can incorporate the tele-converters REALLY looks interesting.  A 200 f2.8 could also prove quite interesting.  It never ends!

No such thing as a "Final Lens"!!  Are you kidding?  I am always looking forward to my next lens.  I must also go with the 55-200.  I have the 18-55 + 55-200 and they are truly my go-to lenses.  Now if most your photography is landscape then possibly the 10-24, but only if you are very heavy on landscapes.

Lumens got a reaction from persco in XT-2 Preorders
To me the question of Image Quality is simply answered by the XPro2 images.  The Sensor and processor in the two cameras are the same so I would expect the Image Quality of the two to be VERY similar if not the same.  My pre-order was based on the new sensor and other new features that provide what I really see as an improvement on a camera that i didn't think could be improved (XT-1).

Based on the rumors I knew what I was looking for so 7/7 early morning I put my order in.  I've never pre-ordered anything before - this wait is killing me!!!!

I don't own a Xpro2, but I checked the specs and noticed they say  "Mechanical Shutter: 1 / 250 seconds".  Do you have the camera in Electric Shutter?  I've been using the XT-1 and have pre-ordered the XT-2.  I look forward the the 1/250 sync speed.

Lumens got a reaction from Immanuel in I've handled a pre-production X-T2; nothing new, but can confirm some things
First: I have fat fingers and Touch screen on ANYTHING is never accurate.  I always get something started that I didn't touch!  I hate that - half the time it takes me a deal of frustration to get out of whatever fool function got started.

Second: I prefer a clean screen not one with finger prints all over it.

Third: For me it just adds added expense for the product that I definitely don't need.

I would settle for a camera that has it because I know some people do like it; BUT FIRST I MUST be able to de-activate it!   I would not purchase it under any circumstances unless it could be de-activated.  Not even the best camera made at a very low cost - Touch Screen is a permanent show stopper for me.

Lumens got a reaction from bradsarno in Most Used Focal Range
Yes, I already own the 27 mm and it surprised me with how well I got along with it.  The 40 mm FF equivalent is a great focal range.

I saw how much the 35 mm is used and the $299 price at discount and I couldn't resist the temptation to give the 35 a try.  I normally use zooms as I like the versatility, but using a prime has some real advantages, especially when it comes to opening up the creativity.

This gives me a 12, 27, 35, and 60 in primes.  I definitely suffer from GAS, but that's part of the fun.

Lumens got a reaction from gen in Poll: How do you use viewfinder, display, menus?
I find myself using both the display and the View Finder.  I don't know that I can determine when one works better than the other, but I'm sure ambient light has a lot to do with which I prefer at a particular moment in time.  I find a lot of times I will look at both then decide which I can see better through.  I rarely change anything except switching between Aperture mode and Shutter Speed based on the movement of the subject.

You really need to say that and make us all Soooo Jealous  I must wait before I pop for the 100-400.  Timing was really bad - it was announced right after popping for a 27" iMac for my Post Processing.  I can't complain and don't regret it - the iMac is marvelous, but the 100-400 is likely going to require a good tax return or something magical.
