My wish if I'm going to be interested: Same specs as X-Pro2 but with a flipout screen and perhaps a f/1.8 lens if they can keep it as small.

3,000 shots each session with a 70,000 theoretical releases ( don’t test the camera too much!) it comes down to about 23 sessions .

Of course why would anyone shoot 3000 pics per session is a good question to be asked.

Try using it without auto DR turned on, as this can introduce noise and reduce contrast, especially if the camera selects DR400 mode

I don’t understand the nature of your problems. the pictures seem to be of good quality.

I can’t understand why the camera would precisely focus on the glasses ( shot at the focal length of 46.3mm) and not on the watch but but maybe you were attempting to focus (  at an odd 52.7mm ) a focal length at a distance closer than the minimum 40cm?

I would take a look at the settings of your camera which might explain certain things not to your liking,  but if you still don’t like it maybe fuji cameras are not for you.

There have been some slight advances in their G line lenses, mostly overpriced F2.8 zoom lenses and maybe a 85mm prime for portait but yes, it is still severely lacking, there are lot of primes that overlap with others since Zeiss is also making lenses for them.

The number of available lenses is really important when you are going into a camera system, I have to admit that m4/3 got me really interested due to vast amount of lenses with a lot of them being primes but Fuji won me over with the X-T1.

If money was no object, or you had the 1.4 in your left hand the 2.0 in your right and you said, "you can have either for free"

    I'd take the 1.4

If I was in the market for a 23mm lens to compliment my current lenses and where budget does matter I'd buy the 2.0.

However, unless I get a really good deal, I'm just not in the market for a 23mm.

35mm is my go to lens, if I need wider I grab the 18mm, never really feel the need to use anything inbetween

I keep one or two bags.  Yes, it could be somewhat cumbersome depending on the size of bag.  For example the largest of the ziplock holds my D800e, with the Powergrip, and my 50mm lens and barely zips up.  But it does.  The smaller sandwich size holds my Fuji lenses -- no problems..  I only use the ziplocks when I know I'll be entering and exiting hot/humid to cold and vice-versa.  I am not patient enough to do this all the time.   I am also not afraid to swap lenses in ANY weather short of a monsoon, or a raging sandstorm.  I've changed lenses pretty much everywhere and other than some dirt or dust on a sensor here and there it has not been much of an issue including dropping my D700 and 24-70 on a sandy beach in Puerto Rico while shooting a wedding there.  This coming from the guy that dropped a Minolta SR-T101 in a shallow lake while photographing beavers in Alaska.  Lens was destroyed but the camera: I pre-heated my oven to 200-250 degrees and placed the camera in for 20-30 seconds then out for a few minutes  Did this for a while and the camera still worked when I sold it to my sister in 2004. Albeit dirty viewfinder and all.

    Just wanted to chime in.
Rokinon 85/1.4 is an excellent lens for the price.
It's sharp with good colors and a pleasant bokeh, but it's HUGE.
For that reason, I find I use much smaller and cheaper vintage lenses like a Takumar 105/2.8 or Olympus OM 135/3.5 when I'm outside even though the Rokinon is faster and it's IQ a whole lot better.
If I'm shooting inside without much moving about, it's the Rokinon every time.

When I am considering a lens, one of the places I go is to Flickr and look for people who shoot the lens, then I spend quite a bit of time looking at their photos taken with that lens...https://www.flickr.com/photos/spyrospapaspyropoulos/

As far as I can tell, every time Spyros shoots his Fuji, he shoots it with the 18.  His style may not be what you like, but look at his photos, the 18 is an impressive lens for it's price, and it's size only adds to it's appeal.

At any rate, this method is one of the best for researching purchases in my opinion...

If you do get one, can you please let me know afterward ? I have been wondering about it but mostly for storage purpose, I would prefer them to be separated when traveling, less chances for the lens cap to break in the bag.

We didn't have a topic for this, and I hope it fits alright in the Street Photography Section, but I wanted to post some images from the Dallas Shooting that I captured last night.

Still working on how exactly you curate your Instagram feed so, so far I've only posted 9 images from last night, I'll update my flickr feed later tonight when I get home, because with public transportation at a stand still I had to rely on a good natured friend to help pull me out of the perimeter the police had set up, and I didn't get home until 1, asleep around 4, and I'm about dead tired now.  I'm including one image that I think captured the chaos of the moment the shots rang out, and including a link to instagram feed.  I'll update my flickr later, like I said, but my initial cull is at 78 images and I feel the story can be told in far less than that so I need another cull for a full flickr album.

CC is welcome.  Hard to know exactly where to point your camera when gun shots are coming from both directions.

All images where captured with either the X-Pro1 with the 35 ƒ1.4 or the XT1 with either the 14 ƒ2.8 or the 60 ƒ2.4; processed in LR, Pro Neg Hi, beef up the contrast a little, and in some cases pull back on the shadows/darks a tad.   Told ya'll I was tired...forgot the instagram link. https://www.instagram.com/crausmus/

You can really feel the tension and see the drama.
I don't think I'd have the courage to be there running around with a camera in my hands though....

Doesn't seem to be much interest, but I've whittled the night down to just 23 images.  I hope I told a full and complete story of the night as I saw it unfold.  I tried to.  When shots are ringing out from all around you, it's hard to know just where to point your camera; so out of all the images I captured, I felt that these 23 told the most complete story.  From the first moments I arrived at 6pm in Belo Garden, to the last image I took before leaving the perimeter to try and make my way home.

I'll include a couple, but not all 23 for the purposes of posting here.  This thread is for everyone to post into.
