Norseman reacted to Kerryjapan in All around the world
Hi Everyone,
First post here. I live in Japan, close to Tokyo. I was walking around Shimbashi the other night and had the good fortune to look up in time to see this nice sunset happening right above me. I pushed the process much harder then I normally would, but considering this is an abstract I hope it's not to garish..

Norseman reacted to citral in X100S FW updates.
That's the issue. Would you get it, next thing the newest camera has and you don't would make you jealous.
It's a never ending story really.

Obviously people think only about themselves and are unable to see that right now someone who doesn't own an x100 and wants to get one has quite a lot of reasons to grab a T over a S. It's smart from Fuji.
Would they put cc and all on the X100S much less people would buy the T.
I think they know very well that someone who already owns a S will not that likely upgrade, and probably wait for the next gen, the decision to not upgrade the S is not meant to push them towards the T, it's meant for the newcomers to grab the T IMO.
Now all this "if Fuji doesn't upgrade my camera that was so awesome 1 year ago, but now doesn't have the same feature as the newest one so it's suddenly a piece of junk, I QUIT U BE WARNED FUJI !!!!" is so pathetic... Better laugh about it I suppose.

Norseman got a reaction from Maxtung in Real X-T10 Vs. Mock Up X-T10... which one do you prefer?
Think back to the Spotmatic and then the SP500. Drop a few features and lower the price. Success!
It was so successful that it was carried into the Pentax "K" series of cameras also. The K-1000 was produced from 1976 till 1997! A really long product life!

I have a contraption on my face called “nose”, so… All other things being equal – I vote for a viewfinder in the corner.

Norseman reacted to milandro in 8mm fisheye or 12mm?
Get both, they are very different animals and actually the 8mm will astound you with its sharpness.
I have an 8mm 2.8 I ( the first generation of the 2.8 variety, you don’t need the II which is made to cover larger sensors) and it makes a great pair with the 10-24 which is a very different lens.
I use the zoom a lot and they are not alternative lenses but complementary ones.
You can de-fish the 8mm, some software does that better than other software , if you de-fish and the software crops the shot, what’s the point? Fisheye Hemi, as I understand, doesn’t crop the shot with the 8mm.
Here you can see what I am talking about
http://www.fotozones.com/live/index.php/topic/56032-to-fish-or-not-to-fish/page-2
There member Alan 7140 has done these two shots where you can compare the same shot with the 10-24 ( at 10mm) and a de-fished ( with Hemi)
This article convinced me to buy the 8mm and use it NEXT to the 10-24mm ( which I already had).
