  2. From a recent visit to Phoenix AZ and a trip with an old friend to do some sight-seeing in the desert.
  3. Way to show the world Fujifilm!!! Good for #Fujifilm. Proud supporter and very happy to see that they did not crumble to #Ransomware hacker demands. More companies should do this. The best way to eliminate these type of attacks. https://www.verdict.co.uk/fujifilm-ransom-demand/
  4. I have a plethora of Fujifilm equipment. Here's my favorite. The original X100 was my entry drug. Moved from 30+ years of Canon use to Fuji in 2011 and never looked back.
  5. Group owner: Delete if inappropriate... If you are on Facebook, please check out the "Pimped-out Fujifilm-X" site where Fuji owners are sharing pictures of the have customized/accessorized their Fuji gear. If you decide to join, please post images of your gear. It a friendly and growing community where Fuji users exchange ideas of what they have done to their kits. https://www.facebook.com/groups/206059773312634 ~ Tony
  6. I believe this is a "feature" of iOS when using the app. The way I have worked around it is use Airdrop--but that only works on Mac. Hope this helps.
  7. Greetings. For anyone who is a member of Facebook, I created a new FB group called "Pimped-out Fujifilm-X" because I thought it would be a great place for us Fuji lovers to post images of how we have accessorized our beloved Fuji gear. Since my switch to Fuji about 4 years ago, I am always looking at ways to improve the usability (and looks) of my gear. I have found sporadic posts all over the internet that depict how others have done just that. Thought it would be a great idea to create this centralized group where its sole purpose is for members of the Fuji communities to post images of their gear. I think over time this can become a valuable resource for sharing our experiences with accessories that either worked out as expected or didn't live up to expectations. I am inviting anyone interested in joining to please swing by, sign up and participate. I hope this will grow into something that will add some value to the on-line Fuji community. The link is below. Thanks for your consideration. https://www.facebook.com/groups/206059773312634
  8. Here's a gallery of an indoor rodeo (actually bull riding) event I shot yesterday as a spectator with the X-T2s and the 16-55 and the 50-140. Baked a little in LR and Luminar. Settings for 99% of images at ISO at 6400, shutter, 1/800-1000, f/2.8. C&C welcomed. http://www.buckeyephotography.com/Fun-Shoots/20180303-SEBRA-Extreme-Bulls-and-Barrels/
  9. I wonder if this would be OK with the Lensmate Thumbgrip or it would get in the way?
  10. Humbled to have one of the images I captured with the X-T1 and the 55-200 lens featured as one of 500 images for the day on Flickr Explore! https://www.flickr.com/photos/buckeyephotography/25696656914/in/photostream/
  11. I'd bet, like other replies, it's the electronic shutter is causing this. That is one one of the expected artifacts when shooting moving subjects.
  12. All these are great in their own way. My favorite was from a recent family trip to Washington DC. It was getting dark at about 9pm at night. This is the X-T1 with the 18-55 kit lens hand-held. Post processed with Silver Efex Pro. CC welcomed. http://www.buckeyephotography.com/Portfolio/Standouts/i-qntz2XD/A
  13. Thank you for your insight and your suggestion. I was thinking of looking through options of some of the touristy excursions from the resort. I will look at Google maps for ideas as well.
  14. Hello everyone. I am planning a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in June. I have done some research to determine if there are any "must vist" locations for capturing memorable images. If anyone in the group has any suggestions in terms of "If you're going to DC, you must visit xxx". Typically when I travel to places I've never been before, I find a lot of value in participating in a photography-centered scenic tour. The one's where the guide is a photographer and takes the group to those places that I am seeking to find out about here since there does not appear to be any photographic tours that I've been able to find. We will be staying at a beach resort. I suspect most of the images will be on the beach, but would like to venture outside of the resort for some either street photography or landscape images. I have not found any, but if anyone happens to know of any individual or company that runs photo excursions, please provide information. Any thoughts, suggestions, or other pointers in terms of safety; places / times to avoid are greatly appreciated.
  15. Other than the OEM batteries, I have many Wasabis. Never had problems with Wasabis. In fact, most are rated higher capacity than the OEM, so they last a bit longer per charge than the OEMs.
  16. I read this and was curious. I was lucky enough to not have the 2nd X-T1 within arm's reach when I updated to the latest firmware. I just did a quick (very unscientific) test with the 60mm,in my den (a sun-lit room--yes the sun is out and very bright) focussing at random objects at variable distance. I did not notice that the newer firmware was slower. In fact I would say it is a slight more responsive. YMMV.
  17. OK. Now that you put it that way. I agree. Not sure what I was thinking other wanting to have the Q Menu match between the two bodies. Thanks!
  18. I noticed that on the X100t, the option exists to use the ISO as a quick menu button. This does not seem to be an option on the X-T1. I assume it is because the X-T1 has a dedicated ISO dial on the body and the X100T does not? Or I am I missing something here? I would like to have the ISO settings a parameter on the custom settings as below image of the x100t.
  19. It arrived last night so the only images I was able to get was in my office. I did notice the excessively long (many, many revolutions) of the focus ring to get the right focus in manual mode as I moved closer to the subject. That felt a bit strange, but nothing to complain about unless one needs to acquire focus pretty quickly in manual mode. Good luck with the Helios.
  20. Just received my new Fuji 60mm Macro Lens and these is how good the bokeh is http://www.buckeyephotography.com/FUJIFILM-X/20160104-FUJINON-LENS/i-mvsWP88 Make sure to see the last two which are animated GIFs that show the progression through the various focus planes automatically. Can't wait to take it out on the field.
