  1. Thanks for your answer, Greybeard! There must be some info about this format somewhere because there are several apps that can decompress this format. I'll look around a bit. BTW, why do you think DNG is better than TIFF?
  2. Well, I have almost the same problem and when I started with my FujiFilm camera I didn't recognise right away that I cannot use the compressed images with Apple software. After recognising this fact I switched to uncompressed RAW, which is a compromise I can (and have to) get along with. But, I'd like to have access to some of the earlier taken compressed RAW images on my Macs and iOS devices as well. So, this is my question: Is there a way to convert these images to uncompressed RAW or is the onliest way to solve my problem to convert them to TIFF, which can be used by almost every software and additionally the compressed TIFF format takes almost the same space as FujiFilm's compressed RAW format? Thanks for any hint Thomas
  3. Thanks, I'll try. Just for example: One could add the GPS Altitude tag with exiftool i.e. But there are many other tags that are valid and should be ignored by software that doesn't know them.
  4. OK, I finally found the reason. It's a bug in the camera software. As soon as one of the .raf files contains a meta tag that it doesn't know the software crashes. Can someone please give me a hint where to report camera software bugs?
  5. Sorry, but isn't it enough that I want it to run and ask for help? The reason why I want this doesn't matter.
  6. Thanks for this hint, but It's definitely this setting (X RAW even advises one to change it if not yet done). Because I don't use C1 for my workflow I'd prefer to stay with X RAW, especially because of it's much lower memory use.
  7. Hi all, I have a new X-S10 and made some pictures in Fijufilm compressed RAW image format. Now I want to convert them to some other format using Fijifilm X RAW Studio on my 2020 iMac with macOS Big Sur. All software is latest version. X RAW Studio is connecting to the camera, but the green light in the camera doesn't stop flashing and the software keeps telling me that it is waiting for the camera. When I quit the software after a while, the green light on the camera continues to flash. I have to take out the battery to make the camera reusable. Please help! I'm really desperate.
