  1. Congrats ! I too have a couple X-T2 and looking forward to getting the X-T4 for IBIS, quieter shutter, longer lasting battery ... Let me know how you like yours once you get it.

    Out the box xt4

Welcome ! Since your XT4 is brand new, have you contacted Fujifim technical support ?
  3. Your X-T4 now looks like a pro camera !
  4. Adding to the already listed names above, I do find videos by Roman Fox and Booray Perry helpful to me as I recently move from Canon FF DSLR to Fujifilm X series.
  5. Here is another reason i like Fujifilm. The shots that i will post here are straight JPEG from the Fujifilm camera without any post processing. I just like the colors :
  6. Welcome Angie! I had considered the Canon R6, but then the XT cameras came on my radar ... Best wishes to you
  7. If your current camera does everything you want it to do for you, it's not obsolete even if Fujifilm comes out with the X-Pro7 or X-T7. Newer cameras always have more and more features that most of us don't need and don't use, especially when we only shoot still photographs.
  8. Still haven't taken a pic of my X100F yet, but will do. Meanwhile, here's one of my recently acquired X-T2. Fujifilm cameras are definitely great !
  9. I bought an X-T2 to try my hands on X-T camera and like it a lot. Its tilting LCD screen is very sturdy. The tilting screen is great for street photography too, which I don't have on my X100F. Although I don't need it personally, I do understand the need for fully articulating screen for folks who use it to create videos on youtube (and other applications ...).
  10. I do miss the B&W pics, and still have my B&W lab. I tried B&W with my X100F, they were ok on the screen, maybe i should try to print them out to see if they look better. Do you still use Fujifilm cameras ?
  11. For Leica, it's not bad at all actually. Considering that, for such price, you have the Summilux 28mm f:1.7 ASPH. with it. If one looks in the Leica M-mount Summicron 28mm f:2 ASPH., the lens alone is already at $5k and the Summilux 1.4 is at $7.5k (see screenshot below). So for both body and the Summilux at less than 5k EUR, that's pretty decent price when you have a FF sensor, 47MP ... I don't know about the digital Leicas but i owned and M6 and Summicron 35mm before. The colors shot with Fujifilm Sensia were above my other brands' lenses. The black and white came out really nice too.
  12. Yes, agreed. All of my computers are made in China and many other electronic devices are also made in China. Japanese cars, for example, are no longer guarantee of quality and reliability. Someone I know bought a Honda Odyssey and ended up with a broken transmission and costed him $5000 to fix. Personally, I had to dump my Toyota after only a little over 30,000 miles in less than 4 years due to brake problems and other electronic problems. I paid premium price for my Toyota thinking I bought quality. But quality was not there.
  13. It's not cheaper when buying in Germany. Below are screenshots from the Leica store in Berlin Germany and from B&H , USA. I put the two cameras in the cart just for comparison sake. At today's exchange rate, 14050 Euros = $16720, which makes it more expensive to buy in Germany.
  14. Leica prices have skyrocketed. $9000 for the M10 (without lens please) and $6200 for the Q2 !!! There was a time when one could get the M6 + Summicron 35mm f:2.0 ASPHERICAL for $3300. Fujifilm for me any time !
  15. I watched Ken Rockwell's review of the X-T4 on youtube. See link below. He was finding almost everything wrong with the X-T4 (which is kinda good to know if they are really wrong). However, at the 13 minutes 27 seconds mark, he started to complain that the red color of the letter "A" on the speed dial was too dark. At that point, he has TOTALLY lost credibility as far as I am concerned. It seems like he was paid by some corporation to trash the XT4. I won't buy the XT4 because I will miss many good shots due to the letter "A" on the speed dial being too dark ! LOL !! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdqVPWXENVc
  16. Welcome ! Newbie myself to the Fujifilm's world. The GFX 100S is a lot of weight to carry around, unless the kind of pictures you want to take requires very high resolution. I am transiting from the full-frame world to APS-C to downsize the weight 🙂
  17. I don't think it's out of production. My local shop is out of stock of the X-T4 (body only). B&H and Amazon are currently also out of stock (body only version). Perhaps an issue with electronic chips not being produced fast enough due to covid. My local car dealerships' parking lots are 70% empty as well.
  18. I too went the other way around. I took family pictures on iphone for a few years. Pics quality was quite disappointing. And the choice of lens ? None. It all depends on the kind of pics one wants to photograph. For street photography, the phone could be an advantage as the photographer could go unnoticed. But for portraits, studio work, wedding, landscape ... i'd stick with something like the X-T3, X-T4, Xpro3. For portraits, I am looking forward to seeing what the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 can give. I read and heard a lot of good things about it. No matter what, keep shooting.
  19. In the film days, i used to buy Velvia and Sensia by batch of 40 rolls and liked them a lot. They were mostly used on Nikon FM2. I then switched to Canon FF DSLR. But carrying a DSLR everyday was a chore. So I was looking for a smaller and well built camera for everyday use. After considering many brands and models, I liked the X100F the most and decided to give Fujifilm camera a first chance. I am very happy I did. So far the Canon R6 has been my first choice for weddings as I need dual-slot SD cards and quieter shutter than my DSLR. I checked the X-T4 at my local shop last week and was very pleased with the metal build of it, so X-T4 is also a serious candidate. I'll post a few pics of my X100F later.
