I love my X-pro3 and X100v but I’ve found what I think of as two (formally 3) major shortcomings of the ERF mode and wanted to see what people thought.
1. The ERF brightness is tied to the EVF brightness directly and I think it needs its own brightness toggle in the menu. (Annoying because it’s never bright enough until it’s like +4 and that’s easy too bright when you go back to the EVF)
2.(SOLVED) I think before the last firmwear update the digital zoom for the ERF alone use to reset between shots, but we are all good now
3. This is the biggest-biggy for me:
If you are using the ERF for peeking in manual focus lens situations (my goto) half pressing the shutter on the way to a full press makes the peeking disappear temporarily, peeking is too finicky for this when you are in a tiny sub-window and we should have an added option for it to stay on through the full shutter press. Having peeking disappear the second before you release your shutter makes you feel like you lost your focus at the last second and is Demoralizing.
