  1. DxO just announced that the new update announced a few days ago their new update will support X-trans files. https://www.fujirumors.com/dxo-photolab-5-and-filmpack-6-released-with-support-for-fujifilm-x-trans-sensor-cameras/
  2. This has worked well for me and, yes, the lens cap works and it's a lot cheaper than what Fuji is offering. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BZJ2H4Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. I just purchased the on line version of this (comes with free updates) and so far it seems pretty good. The announced Rico Pfirstinger's new book, "The Fujifilm X100v: 101 X-Pert Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Camera" has been canceled according to the publisher. Sylvester (Rocky Nook) Apr 15, 2021, 10:14 PDT Hi Rene, I apologize for the confusion. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, this book was canceled and will not be published. Thanks, Syl Rocky Nook Customer Support
  4. First, a little context: I've been using Olympus M4/3 cameras for the last decade and been very happy with them. I've had a satisfying post processing regime using DxO after a long learning curve. Recently, medical issues have made it difficult to carry around and use even a minimal M4/3 kit, so I looked around and came to the X100V. It's been love at first use in many ways, but I need some help in figuring out a good raw conversion/post processing as DxO cannot be used with most Fuji cameras including the X100V. I've been playing with X RAW Studio but find it somewhat confusing and I find the Fuji on live manual somewhat less than helpful. I'd like suggestions (books, websites, blogs, etc.) for learning more about using X RAW Studio and/or other post processing software that you think is worthwhile. FYI, I have explored Capture One and don't particularly like it's interface and I'm somewhat allergic to Adobe products for non-rational reasons. Secondly, what's your experience/thoughts on just shooting JPG and doing minimal post processing on the JPGs in the software of my choice?
  5. Hi, I'me trying to set the date and time my new x110v. Everything ent fine until I tried to change AM to PM which it will not allow me to do. When I toggle the focus stick to the right it will not go to the AM/PM setting and allow me to change it. What amI doing wrong and how do I fix it? Rene
  6. Hi, I'm on the verge of purchasing a new X100V after looking at it for some time. I'm coming from the Olympus M4/3 system which I've been very happy with for several years. My reason for wanting to switch is simple: weight! I've developed enough arthritis in my hands and wrists that holding my current system is getting difficult. The X100V will be almost half the weight. My question is how difficult is getting a new X100V up and running. I read through the manual (at least as much as I could stand) and it seemed that setting up the camera to one's specs is not for the faint hearted. This camera seems meet all my needs, but I guess I'm wondering what people's experience is coming to it from another system. This would be my first Fuji camera, so no prior experience. I ask, in part, because the Oly menu system was no joke and took quite awhile to get used to. Thanks for your help. Rene
