I can't connect my x-t30 as a webcam for some reason. I downloded the x-webcam app, but when I connect the camera to my laptop, it doesn't recognise the camera. I change the connection settings to x-webcam and change other settings. I can see the xt-30 symbol in my computer but it doesn't recognise it as a webcam.

Hi everyone. I am new to photography. I just bought a new x-t30 for making videos for youtube. Since I have a 30 minutes recording limit for a video, I constantly have to get up and restart the recording (I am shooting with a tripod). I tried using the app, but it often loses connection. Is there any way I can control the camera from my laptop? I tried x-acquire, but I guess the app doesn't work in x-t30? It doesn't recognise my camera after I connect it to my laptop. Would I lose video quality if I use the camera as a webcam and shoot the videos from the webcam? Thanks.
