  1. Hey all, Been playing with my xt3 a bit now the weather slightly picked up, love slow shutter photography so had a blast at it, personally really pleased with this, but I would like some serious criticism on what i could have done better especially regarding the editing, i still struggle to get my head round shadows etc, but to my un trained eye i love this. It was shot using the 18-55 kit, nd 500 (all ive got at the minute i have a 1000 on route) settings were ISO 80 .. 24.3mm .. f/22 .. 30 second exposure. Thanks all
  2. Hello all, Decided to join a photography forum to improve my learning curve, so here I am, be nice to meet you all. Quite new to photography, got into it through drones as i like making videos (not professionally), worked my way up to the mavic 2 pro but started enjoying the picture side of it more, especially slow shutter photography, which is a problem for a drone as its near impossible to take a photo for 10-15 seconds without it moving! I bought a rig and a tripod that could turn the drone into a handheld camera, despite the funny looks i got whilst using it it wasn't bad .. 1inch sensor though so noise and low light light performance where a pain. Now i've got the XT-3, with the 18-55 kit lens. I feel a pro just holding it only had it 2 weeks and so far between rain and covid I've not had much use besides photographing the walls and my fingers as I learn to use it, but looking forward to the journey. Here are some pics i've taken with the drone as I have nothing to share with the xt3 yet, and go easy on my colour grading lol hope to build some good relationships here as i progress.
  3. I figured it out, could someone delete this post please, before someone asks what i was doing wrong and i have to tell them i was trying to put it on backwards because that would make me look stupid if i had to tell everyone that. thanks
  4. Hey all, Very new to "actual" cameras, I came from a Mavic 2 Pro which got me into photography, so apologies if i am completely missing something here, but i bought a Hoya ND filter for the xt3's kit lens (18-55). I did my research and bought a 58mm ND filter, as it states the 58 on the front of the lens, but it seems far to small for my lens, there is nothing for it to screw onto. I assumed it would screw on the same as the lens hood, but its just too small. The filter says 58mm on it and i've also put a tape across it to make sure it is 58mm, and it is. I know im being really stupid here and missing something but i cant find anything online, as soon as you type nd filter into any search its just comparisons on youtube or filters for sale. Any help would be highly appreciated, we've got really heavy rain and i want to slow shutter the life out of every river near me when it stops
