Wasn't expecting to shoot the sky at all but ended up staying in a castle in the middle of Wexford, Ireland during the week and it was a clear night. Happened to have my Roki 8mm in my small bag. I balanced the X-T1 on top of a wooden fence and propped it up using the lens cap. Kinda fun.

Get good insurance and forget about the worries, just enjoy your trip. Keep your bag zipped/clipped and your camera in your hand and strapped/leashed. You'll be fine & if your gear goes missing report it and go have a beer, let the insurance worry about things.

That little flash is one of my favourite features of the X-E2, I use it quite a lot as it turns out. Love the fact that it can be pointed up. It's great at adding a little bit of fill as needed, just dial in your EC and shoot.

Last year I got a call from a client asking me to replicate a large chunk of wood that they had hanging in a new office so they could hang it in print, life size, for different offices around the country. The Art was made up of reclaimed wooden railway sleepers from the area their new office building was built. The brief was to make it as hi-res as possible for print & it measured about 2 meters by 1.5 meters. I ended up stitching several shots and moving a few of the planks about in Photoshop later. The final file was just tipping the TIFF limit of 4Gb on output - that was a big hi-res print containing parts of about 20 images. Good days work that day.

I know this is talked about a lot from time to time, 'how big can I print from a Fuji camera?' Well I don't know really, outside of the theory and working it out with a calculator, just how big you can print but it's probably very big. For most people I'd say they are asking how big can I print and still have it look good from a few feet away hanging on my wall? Probably quite big, no?

OK so I'm not really taking things too seriously here just wanted to show a print I got today, single shot no 'pan-o-stitching' but printed it out at 20x30 inches and the detail in the print is great. I've plonked the camera and lens used to the it on the print for scale. I won't even bother mentioning the models as you'll all know no doubt. The print is a gift for a client.

So 16Mpx can print 20x30 inches at great resolution no problem

AS far as the tear down goes, I didn't set any pics so simply remove the rubber from the grip - it's just stuck on so peal it away carefully - then the tolex from the front left and right & then the tolex from the back. After that remove the screws from the base plate and both sides of the camera. Remember to map the screws out as you go tis there are a few different sizes. The back cover removes and their are two ribbon cables. One for the buttons and the other for the screen. The screen can be removed from the back cover. After that things are straight forward to strip the insides, just give your self the long afternoon to do it.

I think it is a fine lens, great value second hand, small & light on the camera and plenty sharp with typical Fuji coluor and contrast. I love the metal hood and have left the cap in the box ages ago. Don't listen to the nay sayers about it's quality - it's good. Yes a bit fluffy near the corners but small and light and cheap = Super Value.

    Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum. I was looking for off-camera HSS solution for Fuji.

I just bought a X-Pro2 and just wanted to let you know that I manage to get High Speed Sync to work. If anyone is interested.

I bought two new Cactus V6 II receivers. They clearly specify on their website that they do HSS with Fuji cameras as well. They manage to find a workaround. See the attached document...

    My setup was:
X-Pro2 + Cactus receiver V6 II (in Tx mode)
Cactus receiver V6 II (in Rx mode) with the Canon flash

    Tom

Update: the only issue I found so far is that the lever from the Cactus cannot be locked as the Shutter Speed/ISO lever obstruct it....

** RESOLVED ** (Don't be dumb, check the front of your camera and make sure it's NOT in continuous focus mode)

I've had a few bugs / issues with the Xpro-2 since purchasing it in March.

I had the "turn off / turn on" camera bug that was fixed with the last firmware release.

Now I'm having a focusing issue - When I lock onto a subject, the green "in focus" square will continually "hunt" even though I'm keeping focus button half pressed. I've included a video of the issue here:https://www.dropbox.com/s/wd3l6vvpednu4pi/Video%20Jul%2007%2C%209%2016%2038%20AM.mov?dl=0

Has anyone else had this issue? I've tested the problem with multiple lenses.
