  1. Bingo, I think that's it. I'll be finding out soon --- don't know how long it would have taken me to figure this out. Thanks a bunch!
  2. Thanks for your responses! I'm using single point AF with face detection turned off. Often when I aim the camera, the focus point will jump to a particular area of the frame, for example in the lower left quadrant of the frame. I want it to stay still (I have it set to the center of the frame,) allowing me to move it or leave it where it is. I can't get the darn thing (the focus area) to reliably remain stationary. Ideas? And thanks.
  3. I have a new X-T30 and am experiencing a problem. I shoot aperture priority and use autofocus S (not continuous). My difficulty is that I cannot get the autofocus area to hold still. I don't' want the camera to decide where to focus; I want to do that by moving the focus rectangle around with the joystick on the back of the camera. And I'd like the focus area to stay where I put it. This is never a problem with my X100T. I know that when I find out the answer to this it will be something quite simple, and I'll kick my self for not having thought of it myself. I'd appreciate suggestions, TIA and best to everyone.
