More a comment that most Fujifilm shooters aren't sport or bird photographers spending that kind of bread on a long telephoto...not to mention what is probably a weight distribution issue with smaller Fujifilm bodies. It's more that a 200mm F2 at $6k is a very, very small niche when it comes to Fujifilm shooters. Probably proportionally a way smaller share than 200mm F2 customers using Nikon or Canon.

But to your point both Nikon and Canon make 200mm F2 lenses with image stabilization that come in under $6k (~$5500?). Those are both full frame lenses while this is APS-C so...yeah, it still feels a little more expensive than it should be. If you want to argue that the 200mm on Fuji is actually more like a 300mm on full-frame? Fine...but those are still $6k.

Good luck. This is my perfect day-to-day bag.

Expensive but they looks well made and comfortable. Looks like they're made in collaboration with Deuter.

I work at a camera store and I was just looking at the Photo Sport 200. I'd probably go with the 300 size. It isn't noticibly bigger or heavier when you're wearing it and it's got more usable space. The 200 is maybe a bit too small.

I have an F-Stop Kenti for this purpose. Holds all my gear, tripod, lunch, a change of clothes and couple other things. It's discontinued now but one pops up on eBay every so often. The rolltop is really versatile and the bag is really comfortable and light feeling even when it's full of gear. Remember to load any bag you are trying out and make sure you test the waist straps. The waist straps make all the difference between lugging around a super heavy pack on your shoulders or having the weight evenly distributed and feeling like nothing at all nothing at all nothing at all.

I dislike bags that use inserts instead of just being a camera bag because they always feel like two separate pieces. My Gura Gear Uintas works great for my Fuji kit but putting other gear in it is a pain because the rest of the bag has no structure around the insert. It's just all floppy.

Also, you'll lack quick access to your gear, having to set your bag down to access the rear panel. Not a big deal if you just hike somewhere and take photos but it's slightly more inconvenient if you're using your gear along the way.

Photo Sport is a good bag. I'd check out F-Stop and Mindshift for other outdoor focused photo backpacks.

Opposite of my findings with the X-T2. I shot nearly 3000 frames with two X-T2 bodies during a large concert event and went through maybe...5-6 batteries. A lot of that was continuous focus at 8FPS. The X-T2 with the grip did not need a battery change at all while the other needed 3 batteries. This was over a period of 6 hours.

I did some reviewing on the LCD but had it turned off. I have two OEM NP-W126s and the rest are third party batteries from Patona and Wasabi.

I think it looks cool. I mean, it's a bit like pre-distressed jeans but it's damn near impossible to put that much wear on a camera these days if you're going for that look. I have a few nicks on my X-T1 but I doubt it will ever look as "vintage" as that.

LOL people saying you "destroyed" it. I assume it still functions 100%...it just looks badass now.

The X-Pro2 focuses quite quick and accurately. I still don't think it's on par with the quickest DSLRs. Is the gap big enough that I notice the difference? Yes. Is the gap big enough that I care? No. Stuff like the X-Pro2, EM5-II and just about everything Sony's doing have convinced me that mirrorless is the way to go. The DSLR is dead to me.

You know what...that didn't occur to me that they're different. I'll check if I get an X-Pro2 again before release.

If you select EVF mode with eye sensor, then the EVF is only on when you have your eye up and everything is off when it isn't. Back LCD stays off.

When I mounted my 16mm onto the camera, I noticed that the OVF's edges have a more pronounced curve than it did with the 35mm. I can't say for sure but that's my impression of the OVF shape in terms of distortion. I'll see if I can find a picture.

I hear you. My ideal camera would be an X-Pro2 body with a X-T1 EVF and a fully articulated screen. I don't understand why we can have tilt screens but not articulated ones. It's just a hinge!

I could do without the OVF. It's super cool but really I don't find myself using it much. I do enjoy the rangefinder styling and functionality (button arrangement, eyecup on the side) but the EVF size difference and lack of a tilt screen (you don't miss it until it's gone!) is a minus for me.

There's really no substitute for true DSLR focus speed. Well, actually...there's no substitute for high-end DSLR speed. A pro class DSLR like a 5D3 or a Nikon D800 will be a heck of a lot faster than the X-Pro or the X-T1 but c'mon they also cost several times more.

In low-light I find the EVF makes the biggest difference. It's like night-vision and the X-Pro has gotten even better than the X-T1 at this because of the even higher refresh rate. The new Arcos filter looks fantastic in low-light. It's a little HDR looking when you pump up the dynamic range but all handheld. LOVED shooting with Arcos.

And the noise...there's definitely visible noise at 6400 or 12800 but the detail is still sharp enough in most situations. I'll post some samples in a bit. JPEG only though...I have no way of processing these RAW files so I've just resized JPEGs.

The noise looks quite good though. Can it really be called noise at this point? I can still tell it's digital but it does give shots...texture.

    You're welcome!

I would take my crappy phone EVF pics with a grain of salt. It's actually much harder to tell in actual use. The X-Pro2's EVF doesn't look small...it's a great EVF. The 85fps is amazing.

However, the X-T1's is bigger and if you use them back-to-back or (like I did) X-Pro2 right eye, X-T1 left eye...it's significant.

Didn't really notice a diff in AF between the two except that some features (like face detect) don't work with the OVF.

I didn't try the zone tracking. I don't do a lot of that, really.
