  1. In my experience there is more sample variation with this lens, at least initially, than the 18-55. My first 16-80 was unacceptably unshared at both 16mm and 80mm. My current version, bought with the X-T5, is more than acceptable wide open and tack sharp stopped down, significantly better all around than the 18-55. Not sure if this helps much.
  2. One of the nice things about the Fuji X system is the excellent selection of lenses already available, of consistently very good to excellent quality. For myself, having cut my teeth on Leica 50s when starting out as a photographer, I can't wait to get my hands on the 35mm f2.0 WR right about the day it comes out. That, and as has been mentioned, a hopefully better focusing updated 60 macro, and I'm a happy camper. Will
  3. The 27 has been and remains one of my favorite Fuji lenses. Yes, it is compact and unobtrusive, but I also find it is consistently as sharp as my 23 and 56 - albeit with somewhat lower contrast. It has never let me down in regular use. Overall, I think it is a lens with a lot of character, which is not that easy to achieve for its rather pedestrian focal length.
  4. A reasonable comparison, Paul. For myself, they represent two different styles of shooting. The T10 and 27mm are more businesslike, the 100T more contemplative. The 100T does have a faster lens, slightly wider, and just as compact. The 27mm, on the other hand, is in my experience one of the sharpest lenses in the lineup. The autofocus on the 100T is no slouch either. Perhaps having both is ideal... Will
