  1. I talked with Fuji support - nice people. The net is that there is a battery on the mother board that takes it's charge from the rechargeable battery. If the rechargeable battery is left out for an excessive amount of time, the other battery can run down, which would then require re-establishing all your settings. Other than that it is not typical for the camera to reset itself. One other point of interest - Fuji has a computer program Fuji X-Acquire that can download all your current settings from the camera and in instances where the settings have been reset you can quickly reload the settings from your computer. The program is available from the Fuji support website. In my case the situation bears watching to see if this is a one time occurrence or is something more serious requiring repair.
  2. I have a new X100F and love the camera BUT twice in the last two days it has spontaneously reset itself so that I have to chose the language, time, picture size, etc. First time I thought it might be because I changed the battery. Second time it "just happened" even though the battery was fully charged. I have absolutely pampered this thing, never dropped, never exposed to rain/moisture. I read elsewhere in this forum about some internal battery failing. Is this a common failure mode? Back to the factory? Is there some other solution?
