I think you have to add Damian Brown to the list, a working photographer who, like others, doesn't rely on handouts or preview kit from manufacturers and isn't afraid to give an honest opinion.

In response to someone asking about the new lenses on their Facebook account yesterday (1 January) Viltrox responded 'we are sorry to keep you waiting we will move things on'

X-T1, X-T2 and X-E2S, the lower res is great for low light and the E2S excellent for street, very discrete, especially with the 27mm.Thought about the X-E3 but dismissed the idea, so far, as being purely GAS.

It's well worth a visit, well laid out, every camera and lens on display and readily available to pick up and try. Best of all?, lots of information support but no sales pressure.

Will the signing of an interim trade agreement between the US and China (which Is scheduled for mid- January) mark the long awaited release of their new 23,35 and 56mm lenses? Clearly Viltrox would not have wanted to go ahead whilst the current punitive US import duties were in place as it would have jeopardised their position in that market as well as compromising any possibility of managing a common worldwide pricing structure. We can only wait and see.
