If you find humming distracting, OIS lenses are not for you.

One owl stealing the rat from another. Shot with Fuji X-E2 and Jupiter 37A (135mm f/3.5) Soviet MF lens, deep in the woods at 3am. Fuzziness is due to the fact that I've forgotten that my YN560-III flash has a maximum duration at the maximum power, and that duration is looong.

…Yes, you can easily get a camera shake shooting action with the flash in a pitch black darkness.

    Bonus shot: the winner. Hoot!

Most English-speaking inhabitants of this planet see very little difference between "extracurricular" and "extracorporeal". Besides, vade mecum are two words, and if you translate 'em literally you'll get "EDC" in modern, Internet-era English.

I wouldn't trust any portable solar charging solution in the wilderness, unless the trip plan involves camping above the cloud layer.

Kind of like when people use words like this instead of simply saying "handbook" or "guide" you mean?

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Rieke in Daily Photoblog Challenge (AKA 365 Project)
Thanks Jürgen! It's a bit backwards actually: first, Margaret started her "Daily Jump" challenge on Instagram, but despite being a professional photographer in her own right, promptly resorted to my help. I don't mind it at all – as a matter of fact, this is a great way to train for creating the poster shots for Bar Mitzvah kids… but my Daily blog is not entirely about Margaret's jumps

As a matter of fact, back in my old Daily project, it was more about my backyard wildlife, so right now I have a crowd chanting "Birds! Birds!"…

But now it usually goes like this: "What did I shoot today worth posting? A few cityscapes, some street crap, a crow, a cloud reflecting in a puddle, and a beautiful girl jumping like there's no tomorrow, lit by the colored strobes…"

    The latter usually wins

When X-T1 was first released, there's been a lot of whining about its locking ISO dial. My problem with this dial is totally opposite: I would like that damn button to lock not just ISO, but a drive mode dial as well. It gets knocked off way too often.

As a matter of fact, I won't mind if the X-T1 successor had a similar locking mechanism on a shutter speed/metering dial as well. The only dial on a top panel that should always remain unlocked is a compensation dial.

These issues don't apply here: No changefreq parameter given, same priority for all forums, htaccess very short and manually crafted by me

I agree that this may help against some dumber spammers.

Thank both of you very much.  Last year I went on a safari in Kenya.  I had a Nikon Df and a 150-600 lens.  I got great photos but I am a 5' tall woman so you can imagine the comments I got.  The ship docked in NY at 11 and at 11:30 I was at B&H.  I bought the XT-1 and a couple of lenses.  I loved it so much that I now have 3 Fuji cameras and 11 lenses.  I am ready for next winter's trip!!
