Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Dis in I've got an X-Pro2 right now...anything you want to know?
Does it have a rear sync with external non-TTL flashes?
How about a PC sync terminal, does it have a rear sync?

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Fernandohk in Panoramas (open thread)
Somehow we still don't have a dedicated panorama thread, so let's start one!
Objects In Space by Trenton Talbot, on Flickr (X-T1 in-camera 360 pano, polar in PS)
Anything panoramic goes – as long as it's been stitched. Multi-rows, little planets, bokehramas, everything.

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Tom H. in What should the successor of the X100T be like
#7 Collapsible lens hood would be nice.
#8 Ain't gonna happen.
#10 Jetpack. Everything will be so much better with a jetpack.

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from beattie1 in Fuji Birds
One owl stealing the rat from another. Shot with Fuji X-E2 and Jupiter 37A (135mm f/3.5) Soviet MF lens, deep in the woods at 3am. Fuzziness is due to the fact that I've forgotten that my YN560-III flash has a maximum duration at the maximum power, and that duration is looong.
…Yes, you can easily get a camera shake shooting action with the flash in a pitch black darkness.
Bonus shot: the winner. Hoot!

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Max_Elmar in Oh My Gosh! Just received a GREAT RUMOR! Just a Hint for now... more soon!
A new camera from Fuji, eh?
Who said it's a mirrorless? TLR? Dashcam! Webcam?… Light field camera? Panoramic camera! Monorail? Uh… A stereo camera? ??? -
Trenton Talbot got a reaction from bradleyhanson in B&W is not supposed to be G&G
It's a way to save an image that is otherwise totally screwed by unintended high contrast. Works well in both color and B&W. Unfortunately, the fad of making this effect into particular photographer's branded "look" isn't over yet.

56 does a terrific job as a semi-macro, "ring" lens. Just add an extension tube

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from greatbigd in For those of you who don't trust the autofocus of the Fuji XT1:
It's just like a car. If you try to drive from a parking lot by switching to 4th gear and cranking up the radio volume, you gonna fail: without a motor running all of these manipulations are futile. Finally you start the motor, and there's a brief weird noise from under the hood, then suddenly everything goes dark and silent. But why?…

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Antonius in Complete Overview over the available and upcoming Fuji X-Mount lenses
How many AF lenses you had in the 70s? How many rolls of film that was capable of producing 300+ frames you had in the late 90s?
We're shooting too much.

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from papedo in For those of you who don't trust the autofocus of the Fuji XT1:
You forgot to mention the most important part: Fuji will let you frame the shot and see what's going on way below light levels at which the naked eye goes into mysterious realm of "Can't See Shit Captain".

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from mpw1950 in Locking everything
When X-T1 was first released, there's been a lot of whining about its locking ISO dial. My problem with this dial is totally opposite: I would like that damn button to lock not just ISO, but a drive mode dial as well. It gets knocked off way too often.
As a matter of fact, I won't mind if the X-T1 successor had a similar locking mechanism on a shutter speed/metering dial as well. The only dial on a top panel that should always remain unlocked is a compensation dial.

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from mpw1950 in Hacking (and fixing) the flimsy door on the X-T1
I would advise against using CA anywhere near the camera ports. However, a strip of glass or carbon cloth soaked in a good epoxy might be just what doctor ordered. Just cover the ports with masking tape and lightly grease the outer edges on camera side (don't forget to remove the grease later, before peeling the masking tape).

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Curiojo in Lens Advice Please
You're not going to get stellar results with adapted superteles, period. Just a bunch of expensive glass to lug around.
Do yourself a favor and get a mirror lens, such as Samyang 300/6.3 in Fuji X mount. It's lightweight and as sharp (if not sharper) as any adapted 400/5.6.
I do not recommend using anything longer than 300mm on APS-C cameras if you're not an expert shooter.

Trenton Talbot got a reaction from Curiojo in Which 56mm?
It totally depends on what kind of photography you're going to do with that 56mm. Horses for courses.
If you need a general use fast tele lens – go for the non-APD version.
If you mostly shoot portraits – definitely go for the APD.
