I have a small typo (mistake) in that I should have written the white ends are originally USB 1.0, but many manufacturers use it for USB-2.0. this may help: https://www.geeksinphoenix.com/blog/post/2014/01/12/How-to-tell-what-type-of-USB-connector-you-have-by-color.aspx
Thank you for this link! Never seen yellow or red on a cable before.

Check your menu settings, for PC Connection Mode. It sounds like you have it set to USB RAW CONV. / BACKUP RESTORE -- this is what it should be to copy the settings to your computer. To transfer images, set it to USB CARD READER, then some of your programs will be able to transfer the images.
Interesting I was expecting a drive icon to appear on Desktop for camera. Nothing, but opening the Mac app Image Capture, allows the downloads and recognises both cameras and allows me to download to Mac to a folder named after the camera. So now I bet all my cables work! Learn something new every day!

Thank you for your answer jerry!
So... USB-C to USB-C ---> no problem for both GFX 50r and X-Pro3
Then I have two USB-C to USB-A cables, both WHITE ---> one works slowly, the other one doesn't work with the GFX 50r but it does with the X-Pro3Neither 100S or 50R, will transfer images with any of my cables. They both transfer the camera settings with all cables! Strange.
I only find this out after many happy months of GFX ownership because I always remove card to download through a reader!

Interesting reply thank you. I wasn't aware of the blue/white so checked my cables one of the is black inside the USB-A end which I have used to transfer images from 50R to Mac.
I always have SD-Card out and into a reader so I never checked my cables.
However I just loaded Fujifilm Acquire and Backed up the 50 Settings to desktop. So I know the cable works but I cannot get it to download the image files. Using the cable with blue on the USB-A end.

I would hazard a guess that the X-T4 that you all have received is made no longer in Japan, hence the lower quality. The one I picked up was made in China, and it felt nothing like a Japanese made Fujifilm camera! I have also owned the X-Pro3, X-T3 and X100F before I went GFX.
If I was to buy back into the X camera line I would only buy a Japanese made camera. I thinks in this case it matters where it is made and quality control. I hope this is not a sign of things to come, up to now I have had zero issues and thought the quality of Fujifilm is high.

Fuji Rumors article March 16, 2021... Bummer! Looks like an update to the GFX 50S, not a 100R. Too bad. A GFX 100R would have made for a very interesting camera, especially if they could get it smaller than the 50R.
Maybe there is a chance they will revamp the 50R (with IBIS) and make it smaller and cheaper.
Oh yes I would like that. a 100R with IBIS, a tad smaller than the 50R, NO PASM, only physical dials - great companion to a 100S.

Depends on which GFX body you use the lens. Only the 100-versions have hybrid Contrast and Phase Detect AF. The 50-versions only have Contrast Detect AF.
So I guess this means on my GFX 50R the 50mm is Contrast only and on my 100S it can use both.

Solved: "The format menu can also be displayed by pressing the centre of the rear command dial while pressing and holding the trash button." . there must be files on the cards I think for this to work.

On my 100S when I use the Menu button and say change a shooting setting, go back to take some images and press the menu button again, I return to the last used menu option.
Does this work for the GFX 50R????

Have you seen also the Ars-Imago Lab box? Developing film with NO darkroom! I have not bought one yet but that is very tempting.

The Godox triggers work with all the Fuji cameras that I have had X-Pro/X-T and GFX including GFX 50R. No problem.

Hello did you solve this problem? I have got a lot of Godox lighting and was thinking to buy Fujifilm gfx 50r but as far as I see triggers Godox XPro F or Godox XT1 are only compatible with Fujifilm gfx 50s. Is that so?

It seems all other lenses have been updated to accept Phase Detection AF EXCEPT for the FUJINON GF50mmF3.5 R LM WR.
I presume from this that this lens is not this enabled? Or am I making a wrong assumption?

This is a consistent issue I have also. There are options in the menu to switch slots. I do that and then it happens again.
I think it may be my fault. I always remove card one from the camera to a reader. Sometimes I may switch the camera on and my Nr 1 card is still in my reader, then the camera thinks oh no nr 1, I revert to slot 2. Then I put back the card into slot 1, but the focus is still on slot 2.
It is annoying sometimes, but was consistent on all Fuji cameras I have owned with 2 slots.

Herco,
Thanks "When you want to see the pure RAW image in Capture One you should select LINEAR as a curve, You can default this in the import dialogue" - I was not aware of that! Thank you for a useful tip.

I can't help but feel envious when I hear such praise about Leica being so "innovative" and "daring". Leica releases a camera with no screen and it's marvel for those that want one less distraction while photographing.
Fuji does a similar move with the X-pro 3 and it's divisive, even though you still get a screen if you don't want one.
That leads me to my main point that I still want Fuji to release a monochrome camera.
Sure, could I save up and buy Leica? Sure, but I think the Fuji system offers more to me than just price. I think they always have more value than leica in terms of features, and I think Fuji is more humble as a brand, where they don't flaunt their brand as a luxury class item.
Anyway, I hope to see a monochrome sensor Fuji camera in the future.
The big advantage on the Fuji is the screen can be hidden or if you prefer 'protected', but at least one has the screen when one is convenient. A screen-less digital camera? No thanks. A digital camera without an EVF or OVF AND a screen - no thanks. Give me both anytime.

I believe X-T4 is made in China. The one I picked up at a demo day was, and it felt cheap and looked not good in comparison to the XT-3 definitely not Japanese quality. I did not buy instead at that time I bought a XPRO-3.

110mm, 250mm 32-64mm.
I've tried these and for me they were all too heavy. So I am biased against weight.
I do like the 50mm for street, the 30mm should be good for Interiors and landscapes. I hope the 80mm will be great for portraits etc.
-
I would have recommended the 50mm 'pancake' for street, it is one of my favourite lenses. I also ordered the GF80mmF1.7 R WR and the GFX 100S. May also go for 30mm.
Small lenses wanted for GFX cameras besides 50/3.5

Small and very light is coming in November in Switzerland GF 35-70. Albeit with no aperture ring, so I have to see if that feels good in my hand and performs as well as the 30mm. If so I shall be buying the zoom.
