I am not currently an owner of a Fujifilm camera of any kind. I am seriously considering the XT-20, however. In terms of quality cameras, I have a very old Nikon D3xxx DSLR, which has been a good camera for me. However, I noticed during Spring Break that my Pixel 3XL is taking better pictures. It is time for an upgrade. I have also lost a good deal of weight, and I need to reward myself for that. A good camera seems appropriate. The bulk of what I've been using my DSLR for is vacations, including hiking.
At first, I was looking at the Nikon D5600. I even found a good 2 lens kit, both of which are upgrades over the two that I already have. However, I started reading up on mirrorless cameras. The Nikons are out of my price range; I'm a hobbyist, not a pro. I started settling in on either Sony or Fujifilm. After doing a lot of reading, the XT-20 appears to be a good camera for what I want to do and at a very nice price point. Unfortunately, I was unable to take advantage of the summer specials. Hopefully, there will be some new sales. My goal is to get a new camera by Christmas, as we will be taking a trip to Grand Canyon. I'm a geologist by training (though I do not work in the field), and I've never been. I want to take outstanding photos.
