[Effective focal length]

I’ve bought a Nikon 500mm f5.6 for my X-T5/Fringer adapter.

Will the effective focal length (and magnification) be the same as a 500mm Fuji (if there were such a thing) or will it be like a ~700mm (ie 1.42x).

My AF ON button will only work when pressed.

I've set AE/AF-LOCK MODE to Switch (S).

The AEL button does work as expected, either locking or when pressed depending on above setting.

[Hello and 100-400mm question]

Hello All from new member here in UK.

I've owned Fuji cameras for several years and at present have X-T3 and (too!) many lenses.

One problem I have is - I'd like to start astrophotography and possibly use my 100-400mm lens. This will move zoom if left pointing upwards during a long exposure. Anyone else had this problem and a solution? Electrical tape?
