  1. In my experience, X-T2 with grip, using Wasabi cells in the grip and original NP-126s in the camera, typical to get > 1000-1400 shots in this configuration writing to both slots, if shooting only jpg then you will get more. EVF/LCD auto switch, 1 min sleep setting. Use boost sparingly when it really counts. Sounds like you either have a hardware issue OR something going on with your batteries. Have Fuji inspect.
  2. I am also having issues with the VPB-XT2 grip for the X-T2. My grip was purchased in April. I have noticed occasionally that the X-T2 thinks the grip has no batteries (or flat batteries) installed in it when they were actually fully charged. I suspect there is a defect in the grip design possibly in detecting proper battery voltage levels. I say this because after a huge photoshoot over the weekend my grip now will report that the left battery is dead. I use Wasabi batteries in the grip. This left battery detection error was not happening before my weekend shoot. This past weekend I used many sets of Wasabi batteries and I only saw a temporary issue at the start of the shoot when both batteries were not registering in the X-T2. This temporary issue went away after powering down the camera and reattaching the grip and powering the camera back on. But as of now the X-T2 does not see any Wasabi battery in the left side. If I try to plug in the grip charger then the left light flashes indicating an issue. BUT if I put into the left battery slot an NP-W126S, same as I am always using in the body, the left battery shows up as fully charged. I would glady use NP-W126S only if they weren't so overpriced. I will be sending my grip to Fuji in NJ for repair. On the phone someone with Fuji said that if there is no issue with the X-T2 when not using the grip then the chances are that the issue is within the grip only. I have to assume many other photographers have this issue. If you do robust shooting or use a large lens like the 50-140mm 2.8, you need the grip. Fuji is apparently now selling more photographic equipment than Nikon. It would help them to sell more by reducing their prices a bit, especially for something as crucial as batteries. https://camerarepair.fujifilmusa.com/Forms/RepairForm.htm
