I've eliminated some stupid errors and split the chart in lenses for stills and video.

That would be some amazing firmware! You do have a point, though with the EX Comp. I set it on C and use the front dial. No need for the dial per se. I would prefer to keep the dial but be programmable: white balance, ISO, film sim, anything that works in a range.
I would like to be able to label my Custom presets.
Fix the quirky Auto ISO presets issue,
Most of what the OP said. I’m pretty happy with the way it is, though!

I think there's a Laowa 8mm f/2.8 lens coming soon for APS-C mirrorless cameras. It could be already out.
I also have the 12mm Samyang which I highly recommend.

Cheers if and when the 8mm by Fuji will appear will be a very expensive lens and include autofocus (that at this focal length is absolutely pointless).
As you have seen the best results are for apertures around f8 , at this level an 8 mm lens is always completely sharp at almost any focussed distance (I suppose you are familiar with the concept of hyperfocal distance focussing I use the same technique with the 12mm by the way.

the 12mm wins over the 10 in resolution and luminosity, the very small difference in angle is negligible

the Zeiss is expensive and less sharp than the Samyang even benefiting from software correction.
The 12 mm is incredibly sharp and very convenient in price, at this focal length autofocus is really unimportant.
I set it at 8 + 1/2 stop and focus just past the meter and everything is sharp.
I also own the 8mm fish eye, different beast but also incredibly good for the money.
I owned the 10-24 and sold it. Never looked back.

Kate, that would be the “10-24mm” which is a very good lens, albeit f4.0! The Zeiss 12mm f2.8 is a AF prime!

Hallo Kate,
I have the 12mm Samyang if you want to try it out.
I live in Doha as well.
PM me please.

People rate the Samyang 12mm - that’s an ultra wide rather than a fisheye, and again you get a lot of depth of field. At f8 you wouldn’t really need to focus

Kate, if you don't need autofocus, go for the Samyang. I own a 12 and it's a great lens. Also. Being that wide, if you use it half close on, you don't even need autofocus: set it on infinity and everything from a short distance to the horizon will be focused.
And it costs a fraction of the Zeiss.

KateB reacted to Mike G in Ultra Wide X Mount Prime
The Samyang is not autofocus!
The Zeiss if I understand you does have full control, have a look at the reviews in the Fuji X Lenses, lens topics on this forum!

KateB reacted to George_P in Battery Management and the Fuji X-T2
I seldom shoot more than a few pictures at a time, but for comparison: currently at a jazz festival after the second day, 455 shots still at the first battery with about 1/3 left in it. X-T10, 90mm (i.e. no OIS), EVF+Eye mode, CH, no chimping, jpg+raw. Batteries: I have three, they are numbered and I rotate them, two are aftermarket and they are as good as the original.
Poor bass, had a cold, had to wear a hat.

KateB reacted to Vidalgo in Battery Management and the Fuji X-T2
Wow, 9 batteries for 977 shots... something goes wrong... third-party batteries?
Even assuming the X-T2 is more power hungry comparing to older Fuji's...
One day I had shoting full day with 2 cameras (T1 + E2S), made 1214 shots in mode similar to PJ's style, and finished with 4 batteries depleted (even a bit less).

I totally agree guys. I tried this one in Wex several months ago and it looked good, since then my uncle bought one and I ha e been looking at the reviews. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed either.
I think I’ve finally decided that for me, I will use primes below 50mm and zooms above that mark.

KateB reacted to Woodworth in Fujifilm X-T100 Rumors
I don't use a Bayer Sensor to plane my wood, my wood plane works so much better! So, a planed X-T100 would be an interestingly slim camera ! I think you mean planned (2x n)! Sorry I know it's not your mother tongue but I had to laugh!

KateB reacted to Serge in WR, how relevant is it?
In 2009 I ran the SF Bay to Breakers and wanted to take a photo in Ocean Beach. I accidentally dropped my Canon point and shoot camera into the sand. When trying to turn it on again, the lenses wouldn't pop out. Camera ruined, I couldn't repair it.
Fast forward to 2015 when I traveled to Iceland on a Winter photo trip. Beautiful and extremely wet country. I took several pictures of that waterfall and somehow the spray got into my very well built Ricoh GR camera, damaging the sensor with a spot that just didn't want to go away no matter how much cleaning I attempted. Another camera ruined.
So I decided to splurge on a Fuji XPro2 and XF 16mm F1.4 WR lenses.
Last year I traveled to Nuqui, on Colombian Pacific coast, one of the wettest places on earth. I spent nearly a week shooting around anything from crabs to jungle views. Typical conditions were persistent 90%+ humidity, rain, breeze loaded with sea salt, etc. I washed my gear every night with clear water - no damage whatsoever.
I must say, however, that the seal between the XPro2 body and the XF 16mm F1.4 WR isn't perfect: the inner lense regularly got fogged up, which was mildly annoying and required some wiping before being able to shoot. This seems to have been related to temperature changes going in and out of the jungle to the beach.
As a final word, I must confess I miss my Ricoh GR. The XPro2 with anything but pancake lenses is just too big to carry when climbing in the Andes. A WR Ricoh GR - or equivalent Fuji system - would get my money in a heartbeat.
