  1. For some reason maybe Covid related shipping delays which is what I was told by a couple of fujifilm equipment sources the newer cameras and glass have been on backorder everywhere I have searched. Places where from past experience I would normally expect early availability. I got tired waiting for an XF70-300mm after three months and cancelled the order. I finally located an obscure source on the West coast that delivered promptly this week. My experience with the bigger vendors in the major cities on the East coast as well as a couple of formerly reliable and competitive sources in Japan has not been good and none were able to procure much less deliver several items I have been seeking this year. It is probably partly due to my lack of connections or leverage. It's like trying to buy ammunition. Go figure....and good luck. When you finally get hold of an XPro3, I would be very interested to hear about your initial impressions and experience. Please post.
  2. I was so disappointed in the X-Pro 3 when it came out. Several of the most attractive features in the XP2 disappeared and the closer I looked the more discouraged from purchasing it I became, so I did not. I still feel that way. I often wonder what Fuji was thinking? The XP3 immediately struck me as a net-step backwards. The gains claimed over the XP2 definitely do not outweigh the friendliness and ergonometric losses in my opinion. I hope they put the LCD back the way it belongs (like the XT4), improve the EVF and OVF to work optically with all focal lengths, keep the better shutter, frame and finishes maybe even give me back my D-pad and keep the joy-stick like on my XT3, etc. I hate sliding greasy fingers all over the LCD and typically keep the touch mode turned off but you can leave all that LCD touch-stuff as optional next time and just maybe I will consider buying an XP4, maybe.
  3. I would like to hear from X-T3 owners with earlier X-T1,2 or X-E bodies if any of the accessories for those earlier models fit or work the on X-T3. I am wondering specifically about accessories like the $129 metal "L" grip/bottom bracket for the X-T2 or the $40 RR-90 remote shutter releases, etc. Fuji specs and RR-100 for the new cameras. Please post favorable experience with any older accessories you may discover that can be interchanged. I can confirm that the extra screen protectors I had laying around for the X-T2, X-T20, X-E3 do not cover the entire LCD screen on the X-T3 but the screen protector for an old X70 is almost and exact fit. An aftermarket leather half case I bought (and never used) for an X-T2 to protect the bottom plate seems to fit fine on the X-T3. I don't think you can use the earlier remote shutter release without a USB-C to mini USB adapter which is a kludge. I will confirm that as soon as I have an opportunity to experiment. Probably will have to buy another "new" remote shutter release. I know Fuji would like to force us to repurchase all that accessory stuff over and over again each time we buy a new camera body. They seem to be taking lessons from Apple but it all adds up.
  4. There a many very inexpensive x-T3 screen protector offerings for sale in on line stores designed and sized expressly for this camera. $6-8 delivered over night or in 2 days is typical. No need to scavenge or mess with trimming leftover screen protectors originally sold for other devices. You can always improvise but I have not had very good luck with that in the past. Get the right one. Needs to be 51x75mm with radius corners. Tempered glass with static/gel adhesive works best IMHO. Good luck.
