  1. I usually shoot in manual mode and set my ISO to daylight for my landscape shots in early morning or just after sunset. If you set your ISO to automatic ,as long as you are shooting in manual mode with aperture priority , you can set your ISO to anything you want.
  2. The XT3 would provide you with everything. You could use face detect for the street, have a ultra fast camera with the 35/2, 50/2 or 23/2 lenses and finally, this camera without lenses cost a few hundred dollars more than the X100F.
  3. I shoot mainly landscape and my 10 to 24 fills my needs very well. The Samyang 12mm would not fill my needs since it has only one focal length. At this point I would love to have the 16.2 I can not justify this lens since I have the more versatile 10 to 24.
  4. You left off the very good XF50/f2 WR
  5. I use On1 for my processing Fuji files. I add photos into Lightroom (for file management) and they export automatically into ON1. On1 is a very robust photo processing software. On1 offers very good tutorials and once learned is very dynamic for processing photos.
  6. The only thing I can think of with a few black photos out of 300 is that your exposures were so far off that these photos did not even have an image. Or it could be that you lens cap was on your camera. It seems strange that only a few images were black.
  7. Check out Induro carbon Fiber tripods. Well built, not cheap, but great in the field.
  8. I had almost the same dilemma as you since I have a 10 to 24 and the 18 to 55 kit lens. I purchased the fairly recently released 50/f2 which is supposed to be as fast as the 23/2 and the 35/2. The 50/2 is at almost at the end of the 18 to 55 and is a semi portrait lens. My next purchase will probably be the 50 to 200 as a long lens.
  9. I would love to see a 8 to 16/f2.8 (12 to 24 APS-C) I shoot mainly landscape and the current 10 to 24/f4 (15 to 36) is too wide to be be a true landscape lens even though it is a sharp lens. Is this 8 to 16/f2.8 a rumor or has Fuji committed to this lens?
  10. We spent six days in Lagos, Porto and Lisbon last August. My travel photos with my XT2 did not look half as good as your photo set. Great composition and execution.
  11. Go for the Benro tripod. Durable, folds small and easy to carry and comes with a caring case and tools. I have an Induro tripod and I believe that the same company produces the Benro tripod.
  12. Fuji's XH-1 is going to bring many DSLR shooters to Fuji since the video features are considerable better than most DSLR. Second, the price points for for the XH-1, even with the battery grip, is lower than most DSLR and even some mirrorless contenders. Third, the IBIS is a tremendous step forward for Fuji especially for videos. Fourth the censor of the XH-1 has been twicked and the both the slight lag time between photos for the XT2 has be eliminated and the XH-1 is now a true sport camera. Finally, the build of the XH-1 is 25% stronger then the XT2 and the powder coated shell is scratch proof. Will I be buying the XH-1? No, I will stick with my XT2 since video is not important to me and I shoot mostly landscape on a tripod so IBIS is not critical to me. I do think the the Fuji XH-1 is a major step and will bring many DSLR users to the Fuji family.
  13. Try downloading a DNG Raw converter. I had to use this converter to download to Lightroom CC on my MAC desktop. They have since fixed Lightroom CC to accept Fuji files. I shoot my XT2 on RAW only.
  14. I have both my cd cards set to only raw and my cards are set to sequencing. After processing my raw files in either Lightroom CC or One 1 Photo Raw 1 I export my files, once I am happy with my post processing, to JPEG. By exporting my raw files to JPEG I can send them to Flickr, Smugmug or to email.
  15. From what you report your camera is working just like mine. I to have have your same setting on my XT2. Since I only look through the view finder when composing a photo the only time that I see the rear screen is when I have taken the photo and take my eye off the view finder.
