This is first post ever on this forum. I'm a person who does not have big photography aspirations, but I do enjoy shooting pictures occasionaly. 90% of the time to capture moments in my personal life. Before I got my Fujifilm camera I shot mainly with my iPhone and Minolta XG-2.
In february I bought an X70, an impulse decision the day before I left on vacation. I knew about the X70 long before, but I was turned away by the lack of VF and how it's not Fuji's most succesfull camera. I did and still like the image quality, compactness, ergonomics and lens. And the JPEGs, the main reason I ignored any other camera, it had to be a Fuji. I don't want to postprocess my pictures.
Fastforward to today, I sometimes miss being able to shoot a longer lens. A 45mm equivalent (I love that lens on my XG-2) lens and a longer one. I also have the WCL-X70, great addition to my X70, but a 1.6 times conversion lens doesn't exist because it would be ungainly large on the X70. The X-PRO2 caught my eye. I like the WS , optical VF (I don't like a EVFs, my eyes find them "odd"), 24mp sensor, the film simulations... Of course I would go for the 35mm lens (50mm equivalent).
But should I buy it? It's a lot of money for a camera and my main question is: would I use it enough? My doubts are about the size and lens. The size; on paper it's about the same as my XG-2, but it looks a lot bulkier. How pocketable is it?Is it a camera you take with you easily?
Lens: the 35mm F2.0, aside from portraits, how much overlap does it have with the 18mm from the X70? (may sound like a strange question, but if I have the 35mm in my hand I obviously don't have the x70 with me. Would I find the lack of wide angle anoying?)
I don't think there is a correct answer to my questions, but any insight from you, more experienced users, would be appreciated.
