  1. The only thing that I can truly say that bothers me about the X-T2 is the poor (in my opinion) battery life. That likely has mostly to do with the EVF, and not anything particularly FUJI. I still have a G1X-II and it eats through batteries pretty quickly as well.
  2. No, but not sure how much stress you're putting on the system. I'm just a weekend warrior who processes just a handful of images per week. C1 only slows down when I use a large-size TIFF (over 100mb). Otherwise it's just as peppy as with LR.
  3. Shame to hear. I use two di700a and absolutely love their flawless operation. Hope you get this issue sorted out.
  4. Welcome! Newbie to the forum, but certainly not newbie to photography! 30+ years? I've been dawdling for ten, only moderately serious the last year or so. I was also a Canon shooter but found I was rarely reaching for my camera due to the bulkiness (or dslr, doubt it had much to do with Canon in particular). Out of raw curiosity less than a year ago I popped into a photo store just to check out the new-fangledy X-T2 I had been seeing so many posts about. Bought the thing straight away, and have sold most of my legacy gear. I am enamored with the handling of the X-T2. Haven't looked back. Curious to hear your thoughts on Canon v. Fuji from a shooting experience perspective.
  5. When mirrorless can rival DSLRs as pertains to battery usage.
  6. Welcome! I cannot speak to the X-T2's performance in low temperatures. I am originally from Southern California and get chill blains when temps fall below 50 Fahrenheit.
  7. Hello. I made a similar jump just a handful of months ago -- from Canon 6D to the X-T2. The Canon was fine enough - good image quality in a solidly built frame, but I found that I would rarely grab it due to size and the weight of the brick-ish L lenses I bought in a rush of neophyte enthusiasm. The X-T2 is such a lovely and inviting little creation I find that I always want to reach for it. My only gripe is that I underestimated just how much more battery power the EVF was going to use compared to a dslr's OVF. But, as you say, there's always something.
  8. Extra points just for having the coolest demonym around. I suspect here in the USA it would be "Lancasterite" or "Lancasteroid" or something equally gauche.
  9. I second that. I am frequently running through the various options just to toggle between two of my preferred modes.
