  1. They don't have a Pentax K mount one for fuji either....I guess I'll just get an EOS one and a pk to eos adapter.
  2. Super Takumar 50/14 is a very nice lens to start out on.
  3. New guy here from NC, USA. Just picked up a XE-1 and 35/2 about a month ago. Really loving this set up so far. I know the XE-1 is pretty old now but still is very nice. Really impressed with these new f2 primes fuji are coming out with. Hope to get the 23/2 and 50/2 soon. In the past I've mostly shot Pentax (too much stuff to list here), with a short stint with Sony (A7, NEX-5T and A6000) but I'm starting new with fuji. Love the analog feel of the layout as I started out on film. https://www.flickr.com/photos/analoglight/ Check out my stuff here, most of the recent stuff is pretty boring, just family. But if you go back far enough you'll see some of the model photoshoots I've done in the past on film. Thanks for having me!
  4. The 35/2 I have is one of the best lenses I've ever owned. Better than the Pentax limiteds I had (which if you don't know about the FA Limiteds, they are up there with Zeiss and Leica in their rendering) and better than some of the Zeiss lenses I had when I shot sony (only the 55/1.8 being better). A lens isn't the only thing that gives a picture character or soul, the photographer has to know what they are doing as well. I for one find the rendering of the f2 primes very pleasing. Sharp, but great character, especially in the bokeh. To each their own.
  5. The f2 lenses are not bad or lacking of character...I wouldn't call them ugly, but I guess that is subjective. They look very good on the rangefinder style bodies, not so sure about the slr style ones though. The Size and AF speed are also a plus. Aperture isn't the end all be all of lens quality.
