  1. Yep, the XP1 is indeed an awesome camera. Mine is pretty worn and beat up as it's my everyday carry. Currently I've got a CV 25mm F4 mounted on it and shooting with it like it's a film camera... OVF only fixed ISO (usually 400), manual shutter speed and zone focussing. Trying to train my eyes to better estimate lighting conditions so I don't waste as much film on my M2!
  2. As far as I know, the X-E1 and the X-Pro1 have exactly the same sensor and processor. I have both (plus X-E2 and X-Pro2) and do like the IQ they produce but as yukosteel has already mentioned, the newer models are far superior performance wise.
  3. Great review. I had the 1st generation of this lens (focus ring close to camera body) and could never get used to the weird placement of it. Whilst I liked the results I got from the lens, the quality control was pretty terrible. Mine had a fleck of black paint that had come off onto one of the internal elements that wasn't there initially but appeared after a year of use and would sometimes be an issue in the photos I took with it. Something internal ended up breaking in mine so it's now a paperweight... it was pretty cheap and fun while it lasted.

  5. Have you considered the 27mm pancake? It's cheap as chips, lightweight and a great little travel lens that will even fit in your pocket when you're not using it.
