I gave up my D750 just because of its bulk and weight with FF lenses, despite being the most compact FF Nikon. Tried m4/3 for some time and found Fuji the ideal bulk/IQ/useability to me.
Although my X-T2 provides great IQ, the D750 was the best camera that I have owned since old days with a Nikon FM2n: from birds in flight to sports to kids running etc etc it never missed a shot using the Group Area AF under CAF, and its low light capbilities result in great pictures under many situations. Even family pictures taken with the integrated flash were excellent IMHO.
The X-T2 is, for me, is the "next-to-D750 big thing": it has a good Group AF, turns out excellent images but falls short comparing to the D750. If size/weight were not such an important issue, I'd go back to the D750 immediately... 

Looks like (despite promises to the contrary ) that after all , we are stuck ( for now?) with this rather boring and uninteresting look of a predominately white page.
 
The old look was one of the major attractions of this place to me.

Congratulations, you've bought yourself quite advanced and expensive camera. That's the good part.
The bad part is that buying a better set of laws of physics costs a lot more.
You'll be better off just buying a macro lens and set of appropriate lights.

Exposure at ISO200 in bright sunlight would be approximately 1/200th at f/16. Five whole seconds would cause terminal over-exposure. Try again after sunset or before sunrise. Neutral density filters would also help though they would need to be extremely dense. Debateable if they would be worth the price for such a cliché image.

More a comment that most Fujifilm shooters aren't sport or bird photographers spending that kind of bread on a long telephoto...not to mention what is probably a weight distribution issue with smaller Fujifilm bodies. It's more that a 200mm F2 at $6k is a very, very small niche when it comes to Fujifilm shooters. Probably proportionally a way smaller share than 200mm F2 customers using Nikon or Canon.
 
But to your point both Nikon and Canon make 200mm F2 lenses with image stabilization that come in under $6k (~$5500?). Those are both full frame lenses while this is APS-C so...yeah, it still feels a little more expensive than it should be. If you want to argue that the 200mm on Fuji is actually more like a 300mm on full-frame? Fine...but those are still $6k.

Mari didn't say the camera got hot, she mentioned red light, which is an error sign indicating the problem either with the lans or the card. There is no reason to send the camera in before checking those two issues.
