    I think the 16-55 is a good choice or the 23mm f2, but if it's really dark you might need to add a flash.

    I mainly use the 18-55 because of its stabilisation or 18mm on a gimbal.

    On my last trip to Ireland I had the 23/1.4 on 90% of the time. Just had a week in Thailand and the 18/2 was the only lens I used on that trip. I take family shots, landscapes and street photos usually on my trips if that helps.

    Why don't you use a dedicated video camera to film the conference, I don't think these small cameras are designed for long recording without any overheating issues.
