  1. My opinion as well. Great lens but color saturation, micro contrast/character isn't comparable to good primes and the more expensive options. The 16-55 did not disappoint me in this way, neither did the 50-140 but $$$.
  2. Because you mentioned your wife wants to shoot video and does urban street photography, I would echo the recommendations of the X-T2 as being an excellent camera choice - as well as the 18-135. If however your wife is really getting into landscape photography and that were going to be her primary focus, I would probably recommend a used d800/d800e with maybe a 18-35mm. You could get both of those for around $1300.
  3. I shoot manual off-camera. If your looking for a good manual flash (No TTL no HSS) with group management and remote power control I can confirm the Godex TT600 and X1N combo work great up to 1/250 on my x-t2 with 1.10 firmware. Just put the X1N in single contact mode per the instruction manual. Build quality is excellent and the transmitter is simple and functional and looks nice on the X-T2. About $110 for the pair on amazon.
  4. I'm really interested in the Nissin i60a and Air 1 commander. This give HSS and TTL over RF and looks really nice. Has anyone used this combo?
  5. I missed the deal before Adorama and B&H were out of stock, however I was able to order my X-T2 and grip for $1699 from competitivecameras.com. I asked the guy I spoke to and he said he still had stock. I'm not affiliated in any way. They were easy to work with and shipped it 2 day UPS for free. Deal doesn't include all the goodies that Adorama was offering but its still a great price.
