  1. Now Phase said they will make an evaluation at launch, whatever that means. Thus they have back peddled on initial statement.
  2. voodooless Curious if any comments here helped. You have gone silent.
  3. Specific ISO numbers or range of ISO settings would be most helpful to all of us.
  4. Wonder if the GFX could output RAW tiff files directly from the camera would those files load into C1. I have brought "forbidden" camera files into C1 as processed tiffs, but if RAW tiffs could come in then perhaps Fuji can get around the "ban".
  5. Just looked at mine and the EVF does change when adjusting the exp comp via the front wheel. Have no idea of all your settings, nor how to easily compare our 2 cameras, but mine works just fine. Ok so I am using f stop priority with both ISO and SS dials locked to A and the exp comp wheel on C. Other settings could very well impact this, but not sure. Maybe over the next week I will assemble all of my settings in one document. Just happen to think that the EVF gain is what is controlling your situation. I set my EVF brightness to 0, where I had it on Auto before.
  6. This is nothing new. They will not support any Hasselblad camera nor the Pentax 645Z. Phase Support is extensive when they do support a camera. They get an actual unit in and test it extensively for what I heard described as weeks.
  7. I used the suggestion on page 89 (US manual) regarding C setting on exp comp dial. Then I watch the histogram in the EVF until I get as close to ETTR as I want or whatever other exposure you are aiming for. Neglected to say then use front command dial for exp comp adjustments which immediately shows exp comp result in the histogram.
  8. It is a wrong setting. I had same problem at first and finally figured it out so that EVF now shows Exp Comp range on left side of EVF from -5 stops to + 5 stops. No bug and as they say RTFM=Read the Fuji Manual.
  9. Did not install this FW update yet since worried all my custom settings will be lost. Can anyone confirm that after FW update camera goes back to factory default settings or not. Thanks.
  10. phso Where did you buy the Patona. Any where in the US? Looking for a small charger with integrated wall US plug even though the Watson one works fine with the 126 plate.
  11. XT2 because after getting another AF camera after having used rangefinders for many recent years, I realized I missed too many "decisive moments" using a rangefinder combined with worsening eyesight. The XT2 solved my problems and setting the EVF/LCD film simulation to Acros I can even imagine my shots as B&W images when wanted. Who needs a Leica Monochrom now.
  12. I have owned more cameras over the last 50 years than I care to admit. For me the XT2 has been the most trouble free and most enjoyable camera I have owned in years. It took some customization for me to get it where I like a camera to be and in the process I realized just how traditional I have become in my use of cameras. That being said I am looking forward to advancing away from my traditional ways that I never would have thought possible just a few months ago before acquiring this wonderful XT2.
  13. New Fuji XT2 owner. Came via Minolta (50 years ago), Hasselblad, Nikon, Leica M (with M & R lenses), Canon 5D3, Phase One 45+ on Hasselblad SWC, Pentax 645Z, Leica Q, Sony RX-1R and Phase One XF+100. Sold everything from the Pentax 645Z backwards and hundreds of lenses. Got the XT2 for street. Love street and love B&W. But will use it on long travels where limited space needed and for color of course too. Still use Phase One XF for landscape where size and weight not an issue. That being said once I am 75+ years old something will need to change and that just might mean getting a GFX . Loved that 50MP Sony sensor in the Pentax 645Z when used with modern lenses. PM me for my website and/or manufactuer blogs if interested. Some street and some landscape, Cuba included.
  14. I don't care what it has, I'm getting one since I very much like my new XT2 and the cross-over should about seamless for me.
  15. Just let us know what happened when you take it back to the store as you posted above.
  16. Those who have previously used MF cameras` will know the differences.
  17. I am new to XT2, but that camera and 11 lenses has about convinced me I will get one soon.
