  1. Facts..eh. Then the Android version of the app does connect camera to phone direct, just like the Apple. It doesn't need a router between. As I said earlier having the need for a router would mean you could only use it within sight of your own home WiFi setup. In my opinion it works better than the Apple version as with the Apple you have to go into the phone's setting to connect with the camera's WiFi name. No need with Android; it just connects.
  2. Yes android users have to lug a router around with them. That's not too bad it's the power extension lead for the router and modem that's the problem. But not too bad as I just plug it in the one I use for the TV and refrigerator I carry around as well. Come on man! Don't believe everything you read!
  3. I would've thought that weather sealing meant it can be subjected to a light "splatter", and then swiftly back under your coat. Don't think it's designed for constant rain. That's a Pentax camera you're after for that level of sealing. You've been lucky with your XT1 up to now I'd guess.
  4. But when I take my glasses off I can't see my camera...
  5. ...every single phone? I think not!
  6. ...now here's the reason why!! I've taken the time to download and search the user manual. If you have it, take the time to read page 16. The XE2 doesn't have an internal memory. No SD card, no pictures - I'm afraid. Sometimes it is best to Read The Fuji Manual.
  7. Although I must admit with the earlier example if both cameras are set to the same settings then you should get broadly the same image.
  8. With DSLRs you can calibrate the focus; with some cameras. With all mirrorless, not just Fuji, there isn't a need to calibrate as the focus is taken directly from the sensor.
  9. ...and it would be overexposed if you chose not to override the metering and deliberately manually underexpose by 2 full stops (according to the meter indicator). You'd be better off taking a picture of the lens in matrix or average and using the EC dial to fine tune the image to how you see it.
  10. You may have preview exposure in Manual mode set incorrectly for your studio use. Many times in studio the manually set exposure controls will be set to give a dark image using the available light. Only when flash is applied in studio will the exposure come right. Fujis have a preview exposure in Manual mode settings which will give the correct dark image when this setting is on. When off the camera will gain up and artificially brighten up the image (so you can see what you're pointing at) but will still take the image at the correct settings. Turn on or off as suits you need. Best to assign it to a function button so it's easily accessible.
  11. When picture effect is turned off the image previewed will be without film simulation settings BUT the resultant final image produced will still have all the film sim settings applied.
  12. Go into the playback mode. Press menu and select the Copy option. Copy to SD Card. That's the way it works with the X100T.
  13. You have your camera set to spot metering. Unless you want to meter a very small proportion of your image I suggest you set the camera to matrix or average. You will then get a more consistent metering of the whole scene rather than the whole scene being metered dependent on a 2% square in the centre.
  14. Set your camera's exposure metering to metering in matrix or average. You have your camera set to spot. Spot will always metering the spot at which the square is over and can produce inconsistent results if that's not what you intend.
