  1. A recent video I did with the XT2, GH4 and D800 I have no problems with the XT2 and I'm in the process of selling the GH4. The detail is much better than the GH4. Easier to get shallower depth of field. Love the Fuji glass. https://www.linkedin.com/hp/update/6255792118124544000 Good luck mdr
  2. @jschoonj, It depends on what you are shooting. I shoot events and interviews, pretty standard video. I haven't really tried any more "cinematic" styled video, though most of the "cinematic" videos I've seen usually have their shadows crushed, basically defeating the "log" output workflow meathod, and creating more steps. For creating the cinematic/filmic look head over to youtube and look at some of the videos on color grading. I'm about to sell my GH4 now that I have the XT2. If you set up the XT2 properly, you should have no problems getting excellent footage. Film style: neg standard Shadows:-3 Highlights-3 Noise reduction-3 or4 depends on your wants Color-3,or 4 Then bring it into davinci Resolve (they have a free lite version that is amazing) and edit and grade away. YMMV Good luck mdr
  3. Fuji GW690III is a 90’s-era 6X9 medium format rangefinder Fuji GX680 Both built like a tank.
  4. I used the Eyfi pro in a Nikon D800, and found it flaky at best. Then I went and got the camera connection kit and just pulled the card out of the camera. Made my life a lot easier, and predictable.
  5. what were the make, model, and speed of the cards?
  6. I had the same thing happen today. Not charging the batteries in side the grip. It was quite disconcerting. It has gone away for now. I guess we'll see.
  7. Check it out. Scroll down. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicpocketcinemacamera
  8. Did you ever see the rigs with the black magic pocket camera?
  9. The video files are h264 I believe. They don't play very smoothly on blessing you have a powerful psystem. It's the way they are encoded. So usually they get converted to something like Apple prores. The files get huge, but play smoothly. There are several prores quality settings. So experiment. Good luck
  10. Beans in chili?!?! Drop the highlights, shadow, color, nr, sharpness Try Davinci Resolve lite(free) and color grade from there. I'm planning on selling my GH4 cause the video looks so good.
  11. Works on my iMac 5k running elcapitan in Resolve 12.5 lite.
  12. +2 for davinci resolve the free version. You can really play around with the color. BTW, set your camera film simulation NS Highlight -2 Shadow-2 Color-3 Etc In other words make it as flat as you can, then you can pull it all back in, also watch your histogram. I'm about to sell my GH4.
