Hey my Name is Moritz and I´m from Germany!
This Topic is - who would`ve guessed it - for sharing images of your ride.
I hope you like this quick Snapshot I just took of my Bike.
It certainly isn´t a Piece of Art but more or less just a Topic-Opener (thou the Name seems to be quite fitting for this Forum )

I started one on the other Fuji forum (am I allowed to mention that on here!) and seeing as how this forum hasn't got one yet, please post your GFX images on here.

I'll start it off, I only have the 63mm lens for my GFX so far but hoping to add others when I can. I'm mainly a B & W shooter as you can see below:

In my case, having a bigger battery that lasts twice as long isn't that important. I don't mind to take a second battery with me.

No, for macro you'll need either a macro lens, extension tubes or close-up lenses. Close-up lenses can be very affordable and they are easy to use. You just screw them on your lens like a filter.

XF80 on X-T2 (RAW), tripod, electronic shutter, self timer

    Developing steps applied:
    - sharpening in Adobe Camera Raw 10 (sharpening settings 40 / 1,0 / 100 / 40 in the ACR details tab)
    - demosaicing with Iridient X-Transformer (RAW Process: „more detailed“; sharpening: "none")
    - in ACR saturation +10-15
    - any digital auto-correction has been unchecked/omitted in Iridient/ACR
    - via Photoshop CC saved to TIF/JPG
    - no further sharpening applied to the pics with original size (see links below)
    - output sharpening in PS CC via unsharp mask applied to the smaller pics embedded here for direct view (Amount 50% / Radius 1 Pixel / Threshold 1 Level)
    - slight cropping of the pics with the bismuth crystal and the bulbs

    Original size, 5-9 MByte-JPGs (click):

    Bismuth crystal, @ f5.6
    Coffee beans, @ f8
Vintage bulbs (er, including dust...), @ f5.6

    downsized:

    Bismuth crystal, @ f5.6

    Coffee beans, @ f8

Vintage bulbs (er, including dust...), @ f5.6

Veeery nice lens (...quite big though )

To understand cameras, everyone should buy a X-T1 or the X-T2.

Alex Cremers reacted to Hauxon in Move from 56mm 1.2 to 60mm 2.4
I had the 60 few years back and optically it's fine and still provides shallow enough dof for portraits.  It was slow to focus but secure and it's probably much better now with the latest firmware upgrades.  I kind of miss having a macro lens ..but he 56 is just osom, and I can't justify having both.  It's got a beautifully made metal lens shade and I wish Fuji would supply those with the newer lenses.

Here's a macro shot with the 60 macro.  It renders beautifully.  I also wish they made it 1:1 so if you want to shoot smaller insects (subjects) you will need to buy the tubes.

If focus peaking doesn't help, the best (but slowest) way to nail focus is to press the Focus Assist button to magnify the view.

The good news is not all old Fujinon lenses have a tab.

Alex Cremers got a reaction from milandro in Flektogon 35 2.4 vs XF 27 2.8?
Optically, the Jena Flektagon 35mm 2.4 is a very good lens, whether it's used with a normal adapter or with a speed booster. Surprisingly good sharpness for a vintage 35mm lens and it has the ability to get really close to the subject.  However, its weakness is that it can have sticky aperture blades. Many Flektagons suffer from it, including mine. An alternative would be the Pentacon 29mm 2.8, which is much cheaper, certainly when you live in Europe.

    X-T1/Pentacon 29mm 2.8/and probably Lens Turbo II

Alex Cremers reacted to milandro in Opinions/suggestions: Auto Mamiya/Sekor 55mm f/1.8 (M42) for my X-E1
Well, I have used this lens many years ago, when it was actually on a 35mm film camera. I was using Pentax  and other camera bodies with M42 lenses.

A good lens by any standard.

However, I don’t use adaptive photography for its image quality or sharpness but for all the other characteristics.

In fact my favorite lens at the moment on my M42 adapters is a Oreston 50mm f1.8. Which is both soft and sharp depending on the aperture.
