Why Fuji? Why?
nvp155 replied to rollypolly's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
Every camera has its own little quirks It takes time to get use to it That why there isn't a necessity to upgrade unless you want to accept the frustrations -
Hi the next Fuji X100v could look like this I used the x100F recently and the button placement could be better This is my idea about improvements to the layout Tell me what you think ( "v" roman numerals stands for 5th )

If Fuji's software engineers and camera developers would not be so predictable ( i.e. putting out cameras on a regular basis ) & did more testing of their products then they would make a better product "developers in avionics, space industry, medical devices or other life critical applications." You need to copare apples & apples Are you on the photographic wavelength? Theses applications are run by software which total gigabytes of code not Fuji's simple Firmware which is in total less than 100 mb. Cameras nowadays are built for consumerism and I will repeat myself again. A new camera will not make you suddenly take better photos. -

My post from before covers this fully I really think Fuji needs to test the Cameras thoroughly within their R&D department before release They leave it up to the industry to do their research & testing and then maybe a firmware fix or better still for Fuji a new next model which is in their best interest. Maybe we should have the jobs of the R&D team ! -

Well You bought it without waiting for comments on use and thoughts of users Using the x100s or x100T will get you the same results The manufacturers cameras don't make you into a better photographer They have just made the x100F controls and everything else so as to have a back up camera for the x-pro2 users and attract more interest Just had to be first to by the x100F so you are the guinea pig -
Leica vs Fuji vs Sony
nvp155 replied to AZWolf's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Yes an interesting read Leica is an established camera system with a unique user features attached The time and quality needed to make a camera system so precise needs great engineering Nikon and Canon and other Camera manufacturers used to make it in older lenses but have steered away trying to stick to AF You cannot make a Camera do everything and even so a lens but manufacturers seem to think so Will Fuji be your new Leica ! Probably not or Maybe a cheaper needs a lot of work arounds substitute -

X100F aperture
nvp155 replied to labenge's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
Usually autofocus needs the maximum i.e. f2 worth of light to operate Therefore if you are shooting at f5.6 then the camera will need more light to operate the autofocus The EV sensitivity of the autofocus needs to be boosted to operate at smaller apertures -

Hi Definitely I would be dissapointed about this situation! What are your countries laws about manufacture support for spare parts. Maybe they may have a second hand x100s to replace your faulty one Mainboards shouldn't fail unless you have dropped the camera. Remember nowadays your just buying a computer disguised as a camera Thanks

Hi I have noticed that when in Manual focus and total manual exposure that if you half press the shutter to show you frame lines in OVF+ ERF you are unable to continue manual focus until you let go of the shutter button I believe that if it is in manual focus then the focus should work independently from the shutter.
