  1. Have you shot any night games with the X-T2? I've shot one game this fall using an E-M1 with a 40-150mm f/2.8. Shot the game in driving rain. It was fun for a half, then I was just too soaked. I'm interested in the X-T2, the A6500, the new E-M1 II and the D500. I'm renting the D500 in a couple of weeks along with the Nikon 300mm f/4 FE lens to shoot a high school game and a college game. I understand the X-T2 has even better autofocusing and tracking than the D500. Although I haven't heard how the X-T2 handles indoor sports or night sports. Also how's the EVF blackout? I heard the refresh rate of the EVF is cut in half when bumping up the fps.
  2. Great shots! I take it you were shooting with the boost grip? Fuji needs to come out with a 200mm prime! They really need some longer fast-focusing glass. I'm renting the D500 and the Nikon 300mm f/4 PF lens next month. I'll be shooting football and surfing. I was hoping to shoot some hockey as well, but they're out of town that weekend. After that, I plan to rent the X-T2 and the 50-140mm. Then I'm going to try the new E-M1 II and the m.zuiko 300mm f/4 combo. I'm currently shooting an E-M1, but I'm looking for something better for sports.
  3. Hey everyone. I'm currently shooting an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and I have a spectrum of lenses from the 7-14mm PRO up to the 40-150mm PRO. So in essence, I cover 14mm to 300mm in full-frame focal length. I have been shooting quite a bit of sports in the last year and have grown tired of the E-M1's tracking. Its horrendous. So I really started paying attention to the Nikon D500. I figured I would switch to that and either the 70-200mm f/2.8 and 300mm f/4 for my sports kit. I didn't really want to use the D500 for my everyday needs since I'm a fan of mirrorless. I figured I would get a Sony A7 II or III at some point. Then I saw some videos for the X-T2. It has piqued my interest a lot. Not only is it as fast as the D500, it seems like it could replace my Olympus as my everyday kit although I don't think I'll get rid of this kit for a long time. The Olympus lenses are fantastic. I still love to shoot landscapes so I would like to know what wide-angle lens is available for this system? Anyone know the roadmap for Fuji lenses? Are they working on anything with an equivalent 400mm or bigger? I'll be renting the X-T2, booster grip and 50-140mm f/2.8 to test soon. I'm definitely interested in seeing how well it performs at something like a high school football game at night. If it works well there, I'm sold.
