  1. Seems a dead pixel line to me. If it is in every picture, then you might want to get it serviced
  2. When in manual mode, the exposure compensation has no yeffect. Compensate either with shutter speed or aperture. When in manual mode, you have full control over both, which is why exposure compensation is not available
  3. It works in manual mode. You can use wireless triggers to do off-camera flash. Have a look at my web site, where I have used that exact setup to heavily underexpose the image and then use wireless flash to light the subject.
  4. Hi Half pressing the shutter suggests you would like the lens to autofocus. I am assuming your vintage lenses do not support this. Manual focus only using focus peaking is the only way with these lenses I assume. No point in half pressing the the shutter I guess best Ronald
  5. Battery life of X-E2 is less than by DSLR, but it is not a problem. I carry two spare batteries branded MaximalPower. I think I purchased them for around € 30 for a pair, and they work really well! I never run out of power unexpectedly. Hope this helps!
