I picked up a copy after deliberating...I've only taken shots in my living room so far...but i'm quite happy with the results!

I've been reading nothing but issues with focusing with this lens?  Which has caused me to hold off for now?

As long as I've been around this site so have you advocating for the 18-55 zoom.  I bought my xt-1 kit with the 18-135 a few years ago...then eventually picked up an 18-55 mostly because of you!
 
I eventually gave my xt-1 to my sis...with the 18-55 begrudgingly.  
 
I have missed it...so much that just 2 weeks ago I was able to pick up another off craigslist for a great price.
 
I am whole again!
 
Hopefully someday... so will you be again!
