I have the 23 1.4 as well. It is a great lens. It doesn't go quite as wide as I often want, and took the leap and added the 16mm. As much as I really like the 23, the 16 is even more impressive to me. It just looks sharper and more contrasty and, of  course, can do wider where wider is important. One of the best surprises with the 16 is the remarkable close focus ability it brings to the table. You can really manage the depth of field options with the great close focus it offers. And the close up shots with the 16 are tack sharp. I reach for my 16 more than my 23, even though I really like the 23 very much, too.

Thanks darknj. I am now leaning towards just getting a Fuji 35mm lens.

Just be aware that you will lose the aperture control since there are no connectors between the Nikon F mount and Fuji XF.

There are no smart adapter for the time being, so all of them are only various level of plastic/aluminium quality and shouldn't cost you more than 20$ most of the time.

In all honesty, I would rather use the Fuji 35 lens, first of all, it will be smaller and light than any other contraption you could find. You wouldn't lose the AF nor the aperture control either. And the 35 F1.4 is still one of the most beloved lens on the Fuji, you will not go wrong with it.

To accurately preview your JPEG images yes turn it on.

It will have no effect on the RAW.

If you shoot RAW only it's nice to see what the image COULD look like, not what it will look like.

Preview effect shows you the finished in camera JPEG....

So for RAW only it's a matter of taste if turned on or off.

I have the X-T2 with 2 cards LEXAR UHS-II 2000x. One is 64Gb in slot 1 for lossless compressed RAW, the other is 32Gb in slot 2 for JPEGs.
Coming from an X-E2, this is another world....
After filling the buffer at 11fps (after 3/4 seconds), the buffer is quickly emptied.
I've read before the launch that shooting at 5fps with this configuration (UHS-II cards, compressed raw on one card and JPEG on the other) give an endless buffer... and this is true, I was not able to fill the buffer (but maybe after 1 minute of shooting....)
I may post a video of the performances if you really need one ;-)

Just because Fuji specced UHS-II doesn't mean you have to have it.

Your Sandisk Extreme Pro cards should be fine for the way you say that you are shooting.  If you are shooting video, the I would choose the UHS II cards.

That's my go-to kit and it covers everything I realistically need. 23mm is my favourite all-purpose focal length, 56mm is great for portraits but wide enough to be versatile, and 16mm is wide enough for landscapes and adds drama while not looking too unnatural for people photos.

With the Fujifilm cameras you can choose from AF-S on the shutter button, AF-C on the shutter button, AF-S on the back button, or AF-C on the back button.

Selecting AF-M disengages AF from the shutter button and turns on back-button focus. There's a menu option to choose whether back-button focus is AF-S or AF-C.

The 16mm is a nice lens. A little bulky/heavy but it takes lovely pictures and is a great partner to your other 2 lenses.

mvlow got a reaction from Mike G in XT-2 Preorders
I decided to order the 23mm f/1.4 lens from Adorama last night to go with my pre-ordered X-T2 because of the $250 Fuji discount and the $100 Adorama gift card that Adorama currently offers with the lens.  To my surprise even though the lens won't be delivered for another week with their free shipping, they emailed me the gift card today.

I called Adorama and asked them to use the gift card towards my X-T2 pre-order and they did it.  Really happy I not only saved $250 on a great lens, but also saved $100 on my X-T2 by buying the lens from Adorama.  I'm off to buy a lottery ticket

American Federation of Motorcyclists (aka AFM) club race at Sonoma Raceway, September 4, 2016, Sonoma, CA, USA. The "ole warhorse" X-T1 can still deliver the goods...

The 35 is my favorite lense. It's almost always on. It's light, small and great for portraits. 56 is too but the 50 mm equivalent is quite versatile. I also love my 16mm and when I hike it's usually on.
