  1. I take a picture. That picture is now locked on both the viewfinder and the LCD. Locked like a Ferrari is fast. At the bottom of both finders are three choices: Next, Retry, Exit. The Next selection (OK button) gives me a double exposure. Both Retry (Left Arrow) and Exit (Back) unlock the image. I'm back to normal viewing. Everything is peachy. But I can't push the Back every time a take a picture. I've been through the menus over and over and I can't find the cause of this behavior. The reset button is looming in the distance. But I don't want to go there. It's an awful place. Can anyone help? Please? You'll have my undying gratitude, whatever that's worth.
  2. There is an answer, which I discovered just by fooling around with the "view mode" switch. (Note that I didn't want to use the "eye sensor" mode because I didn't want the LCD screen lighting up every time I took the camera from my eye.) But there is a setting in there that will allow shooting through the OVF or EVF, but will make images available for review on the LCD when "play" is pushed. Way to go, Fuji!
  3. I agree with much of your response. My point was that he was too busy worrying about not getting to shot to whine about having to push a button twice. Sadly, I think that I'm fairly representative of the digital generation.
  4. I shoot through the viewfinder but when I push the play button, I want the image to come up on the LCD. Similarly, when I push menu, I want it to be displayed on the LCD, not in the viewfinder. I know that I can switch display modes and then push play, but I want to do it in one touch. Isn't there some setting that will let me have it all? I think Robert Capa had a similar problem when he landed at Normandy. I'm sure this issue has been addressed, but my search was fruitless. Many thanks.
