  1. Mine shipped out yesterday afternoon (September 8) from Camera Canada and it arrived this morning around 10:30am September 9th. Came just in time for my brother's wedding tomorrow! Going to fiddle around with it tonight and get it setup how I like.
  2. That first one was actually posted a while ago, that phony account actually ripped it from the original poster and reuploaded it. Thats why the quality is so low. Here is the original:
  3. Checked with the store I ordered from here in Canada today and they told me mine would ship out September 8th as long as Fuji doesn't delay it. He also said he talked to Fuji today and everything is looking good for it being on time.
  4. The X-T1 is not weatherproof, it is weather resistant. The weather can still kill it, especially if the weather is particularly harsh or if you pair it with a lens that is not also weather resistant. No interchangeable lens camera today is weatherproof.

    Newfoundland 2016

Photos I took on a trip to Newfoundland.
  6. The screens themselves are the same size and the glass bezels around the screen look to be a similar size but there really is no way of knowing until someone tries. At worst, it would just be really close to fitting perfectly.
  7. As someone who does not like keeping boxes because of the space they take up, I absolutely LOVE this idea. Thanks for sharing this, I just might have to copy it!
  8. I know exactly how you feel, I've been the exact same way!
  9. I own the DNA 15 and in my opinion, its a great bag for commuting short distances when it's fully loaded. If you want to carry all your gear and a 15" laptop for long stretches then you'd be better off with a backpack as a messenger with that much weight would be seriously bad for your spine over extended periods. If you wanted the bag for only your camera gear then the DNA 13 would be a good choice.
  10. I think now we need iPads and iPhones with A LOT more storage
  11. Maybe eventually, but I think Fuji is really focused on building out the system for photography right now. Some of the wide angle primes Fuji has out right now would be damn good for video I think.
  12. Interesting, my preorder was with Camera Canada and they expect to get their shipment in early September.
  13. It would be dust on the sensor, it happens on any camera with interchangeable lenses. First use a rocket blower to try to dislodge any loose dust. If that doesn't work then your options are to send it to Fuji to clean, take it to a shop to clean it, or learn to clean it yourself but keep in mind the sensor can be a sensitive part. Dust on the sensor is inevitable no matter what you do, however keeping the rear element of your lens, the lens mount, the camera mount, the rear lens cap, and the camera body cap all as clean as possible will help keep dust off the sensor. I also suggest changing lenses with the camera facing down and off.
  14. From what I've read, recent versions of Lightroom work fine now. There will always be differences though. For example many people find the colours and initial sharpness to be better with Capture One no matter the camera brand.
  15. There is a video out there that states there is also a "boost" mode in the cameras menu. Perhaps that does it?
  16. I'm pretty much thinking the same thing now. I don't shoot sports or any wildlife, in the last year the only times I've even put my D610 into continuous high has been for bracketing really. I will probably forego getting the battery grip for now and then if I get more into video I'll pick one up. $400 CAD is just too much for something that just adds convenience for me.
  17. Well it's more expensive than the X-T1 debuted at everywhere, so I figure what you were quoted before was wrong the whole time and just guesses. Either way, the UK saw the biggest price jump from what I've seen. Hopefully the pound recovers sooner rather than later so prices don't jump up on everything for you guys.
  18. I placed my preorder through Camera Canada, they tell me I'm first in their queue. They expect their shipment in early September.
  19. Yeah, the UK price is nuts. By my calculations the Brexit fallout made the camera about £200 more than it likely would have cost.
  20. It can depend. If IBIS results in the corners of the sensor moving outside of the image circle then you will lose image quality in the corners. If the lenses and mount are designed for IBIS then it shouldn't be as much of a problem.
  21. I was wondering how many people on the forums that preordered the X-T2 are also going to get the battery grip? Personally, I can't decide. I don't exactly like the looks of it or the price but the extended battery life, ability to charge batteries in the unit along with the boost features are pretty tempting. What's everyone else's opinion?
  22. Exactly! Good quality glass is more important and a better investment than any camera body ever is. Good glass will last you through the life of many camera bodys.
  23. Seems pretty similar to Triggertrap, just wireless.
