  1. My eyecup tore apart/split and was hanging by a thread so I contacted Fuji and wondered if they could ship a replacement. The answer was that the eyecup was part of the weather sealing so I had to send it in to be replaced (properly glued). It was a guarantee job and didn't cost me anything except the three weeks it took to send it to my camera store in Sweden, to England and back.
  2. The setting reset occurred to me last night for the first time. I was trying to transfer images to the iPad using the Fuji Cam Remote App but the App crashed during transfer and then the settings was factory default in the camera. This may be a safeguard to ensure that the camera starts after a serious software crash? Anyway, a wonderful piece of equipment the flaws just give it character.
  3. I had the same issue with x-Pro1 or x100, can't remember... anyway I figured out that it happened for me when I swapped the battery with the camera turned on and that the new battery was not fully charged.
  4. It's in the mail from Cyberphoto... I hope for a Friday delivery!
  5. FYI: There's a new special issue of Fujifilm X Magazine out now. "X-Pro 2 The Ultimate Guide" http://en.fujifilmxmagazine.eu/13
  6. This is probably just the standard X-T1 without the IR blocking filter in front of the sensor. Doing this modification costs about $500 on a normal X-T1. I converted my old X-Pro1, but I can actually still see the emperors new clothes
  7. Thanks mwsladek, the next step for me will be to wipe and re-install the Adobe suite when I get back and have some more time. The communication between the plugin and camera works excellent but the pictures don't end up in the target folder.
  8. I purchased downloaded and installed the plugin from Adobe using Extension CC. I have some issues with the plug-in... Everything works except some minor detail + The plugin detects my X-T1 (f/w 4.00) switching on/off + It reports the current exposure settings from the camera + I can remote trigger the camera from the plugin - BUT I get no pictures transfered to Lightroom CC 2005.1 (Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.4)? (and none on the memory card as expected when in PC Shoot mode) The target folder has read/write permissions. Any good suggestions? [update] I uninstalled/installed a few times with both the Cloud Desktop app and Extension Manager CC, the issue remains. The plugin works fine except for the last detail but that may be something rotten in my Adobe installation. The plugin also works in Lightroom 5. I won't be able to test for a few days now but if you have a solution I'll appreciate it! [update II] I also installed the plug-in on my iMac and it works perfect with LR5 and LRCC. The issue remains on my MacBook Pro.
  9. That sound gave me a flashback to a Canon lens, the 70-200 or 100mm with IS, that showed the same behaviour if you removed the lens with the camera on. Then it didn't park the element rig properly. So either it's constructed this way by Fuji or just a firmware slip, but I guess it's the way it's built.
  10. I had a nice surprise this afternoon when my XF90 arrived two weeks before estimated delivery date. First impression is wOw... need some time to go out and play. FYI - I checked three web shops and all have it stocked here in Sweden.
  11. The camera gear is just tools and if you feel comfortable and love them you make a better job. Maybe the people spreading the hatred and showing off their worst sides on the net would find peace and harmony if they switched brand "It's not the fault of the hammer when the carpenter bends the nail."
  12. Fuji can't maintain new firmware updates for all models forever, the cost of testing and quality control is huge compared to the cost of developing the piece of code that embodies the Classic Chrome feature. The X-Pro 1 was good when it first came out and now it's so much better. A camera doesn't suddenly go bad because it lacks the latest bells & whistles.. it's all in the mind Unless you just want JPG Classic Chrome straight out of the camera you can use the free Adobe DNG Profile Editor together with a color card to create a Classic Chrome Camera Profile to apply on the RAW files using Lightroom or Camera RAW in Photoshop. I've made one for X-Pro 1 and X100s. The x100s one is almost spot on when I diff with the CC JPG, but since I converted my X-Pro 1 to Infrared I haven't verified the accuracy of it.
  13. I don't think it's been released yet, I'm checking every day... https://creative.adobe.com/addons?pp=pslr or click the 'Adobe Add-ons' button in the LR plug-in manager. Soon...
