  1. This is a repost of a message I left on fujicamerasaus instagram post: "I've had an issue with this update, the camera powers on but all controls are unresponsive after the update is applied. This occurs when a memory card is inserted in Slot 1, but everything works fine with a single card inserted in Slot 2. The memory cards I use are both Lexar Professional 128GB UHS-II SDHC. Users who take advantage of the high speed shooting capabilities of this camera should be aware of this before updating, as the camera will still work, but Card Slot 2 is not UHS-II spec AFAIK." Might want to hold off on the update until this is checked out. [Edit] Well I'm not quite sure what I did, but I managed to get everything up and running again. I initially tried reformatting both cards in Slot 2, but this didn't fix the issue by itself. I then tried to update the firmware of my XF 55-200 lens, but the camera can only read firmware files from Slot 1. Having then changed slots and powered the camera back on I was greeted with a blank screen, and again I had to pull the battery from the camera (about the 20th time so far). Leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, and blowing in the card slot and on the card contacts, I tried again, and both successfully updated the firmware on both lenses, but the camera is now back up and running with cards in both slots. Not the smoothest process I've been through, but glad to have it resolved in the end.
  2. Are you staying in the Library module to view the individual images (by selecting an image and pressing spacebar), or opening each image in the Develop module by double-clicking on an image? I too have the X-Pro2, capture full uncompressed RAW files, and use Lightroom, but I do not have issues with the speed of loading files as you have reported. I'm running a late 2014 Retina iMac with an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 2GB AMD m290 graphics processor and a 512GB flash drive, and both the Lightroom catalogue and the images are stored on a 4TB Seagate Backup Fast portable Raid drive connected via USB. I don't convert to DNG though, I leave the RAW files in their RAF format and generate High quality previews at a resolution of 2880px. Keep in mind though that Lightroom does delete these previews after 30 days by default, so perhaps Lightroom is regenerating deleted previews for you? You can disable this function in the Catalog settings, although that means your Previews file will begin to gradually take up more and more space and also take longer to backup. Also bear in mind that whilst the Fusion drives were a good compromise between speed and capacity at the time, they can't compete with an all flash storage drive (an SSD) for performance. Anything stored on the 128GB flash partition of your drive will be accessible very quickly and your system will be significantly more responsive, but anything stored on the hard drive partition will be just as slow as a computer from 10 years ago. It's possible you're seeing a slowdown in your workflow as your Catalog and Previews Catalog grow too large to be stored on the flash partition, and get transferred by the operating system off to the normal hard drive.
  3. I too had this issue after I picked up my X-Pro2 on the 24th of April. The camera was ordered in for me by the store from Fujifilm Australia, so it was a brand new unit, and was already running version 1.01. The problem seemed to disappear though after I upgraded my memory card. At first I was using the card I already owned, a 32GB 80mb/s Sandisk Extreme SDHC card in slot one. But after I "upgraded" to two 32GB Sandisk Extreme 95mb/s cards (I know, not much of an upgrade), the issue magically disappeared. Admittedly I was also fiddling with the settings of the camera a fair bit - I do recall changing the power mode from Standard to High Performance when I first got the camera (before I noticed the issue), then changing it back to Standard again at some point after noticing the issue. Haven't had a problem since for about two weeks now.
