  1. I'm using the stable ubuntu version (currently 1.6.6) and I'm not sure what you mean with the white balance dropdown, but I do have the possibility to change white balance (camera, warm, etc) or choose a custom white balance by selecting a rectangle in the image. This is all using Fuji RAW files.
  2. Thanks for all the comments, in the end I went with the SU-4 mode on my Nikon SB-900, and putting the X-T1 flash in commander mode, worked flawlessly! The Cactus V6 also looks like a solid recommendation, for the Yongnuo it's a bit troubling there are people for whom it doesn't work, hope we find out if it's user error or a problem with Yongnuo!
  3. Aftershot Pro is indeed not bad and easier to learn, when I switched they didn't have Fuji support but came out soon after. Comparing the two, darktable has more power but the UI is a bit hard to understand at first, watching youtube clips can get you up to speed really quickly though. A good one is the following intro video, the author has many others on darktable, worth checking out!
  4. Hi all, Darktable is a - free - Raw developer which I feel is underappreciated. They added Fuji support about a year ago and I've never looked back since. I was using Corel Aftershot (previously Bibble Pro) and darktable is a full-fledged replacement at an unbeatable price. The learning curve might look steep but just watch a few youtube videos and it will all make sense very quickly. Site: http://www.darktable.org/
  5. Thx for all the replies, a bit concerned about the non-working Yongnuo stories, hope someone chimes in with a working X-T1 + Yongnuo + Nikon SB-900 combination. This is a link I found with all-Yongnuo triggers/flashes on Fuji X-t1: This is the commander I was talking about: I'll look into the Cactus v6
  6. Hi all, Having left Nikon I no longer have a functioning flash system, so I'd like your opinion on the following options: - Yongnuo triggers - Yongnuo triggers + the command screen - optical slaves Other suggestions also welcome! PS: I'll add some links to ebay/amazon for the Yongnuo triggers when I get home
  7. I see it already exists Flash Photography with Fuji X
  8. A flash subforum might be interesting. At the moment there are already a few topics to discuss such as optical slaves/triggers to use non-fuji flashes, using existing flashes, upcoming fuji flashes etc. Currently researching the best way to use my nikon sb-900s with the X-t1, hence my interest regards, Mike
