  1. Great write up and very similar to my findings as well! My biggest gripe coming from the Canon camp is the loss of a decent tethering solution and why I still rent DSLR and MFD systems when the gig calls for it. The XT-1 does work well enough in a pinch with the LR plugin, but I'd really like to see support for all the cameras (which is a lofty dream) and maybe tether support with CaptureOne too. My hope is that those selected X Photographers are making it clear that tether support is very important to good number of their shooters.
  2. Current lineup is the 23, 35, and 56. My shooting subject matter is pretty varied but mostly portrait focused so those three focal lengths have served me well. I'd love to shoot the 90 but worry that I wouldn't use it enough being that the FOV isn't the most versatile. I've been traveling a bit lately and renting the 10-24 a lot. I really do enjoy that lens as my preference when shooting wide (which is rare) is to go WIDE. Read great things about the samyang/Rokinon 12mm so that may find its way into my bag as an inexpensive alternative someday.
  3. Have had the 23 and 56 in my bag for a couple of years now and always felt like I was missing something in not having the 50mm FOV. I shot a Canon body with a 50/1.2 bolted on it for several years, so I always framed things with that FOV in mind. Ultimately, when selling my Canon kit and moving entirely to Fuji I felt like having a prime that was a little bit wider wouldn't hurt especially when paired with the 56mm for portrait work. It's a gorgeous piece of glass. That said, I recently caved and picked up the 35. The way it renders is really something special and IMO different enough to warrant having a space in the gear bag.
